That's all fine and dandy but WHERE'S MY BRONZE ANAKIN VS. OBI-WAN DIORAMA CURSE YOUUUU SIDESHOWWWW oh wait. (Didya guys ever notice that "ow" is part of "Sideshow"?)

Now everyone is a fan of the SW diorama line and the work of esteemed master Trevor Grove, who must be a reincarnation of Bellini or someone. And where was I six months ago? A lone voice in the wilderness, while so many were playing the thumb fiddle and raving about a fat PVC dollie and his throne and entourage that ended up costing three times as much as this masterwork.

:monkey3

*Is envious of those who got this piece already, but safe in knowledge that my own FlexPay has run its course, and own ridiculously high ES number is on its way to the Balkans*

So what number did you get?

I've been all about these since the start and especially the work of Trev.

They're intimate memories, and by now, quite old. :D

Congrats on the low number, Mr. Long, and on a killer collectible! I didn't want to slight any 12" collector, I'm just glad you're making everyone giddy about Sideshow's leading polystone Star Wars line -- we both championed it from the start, and it's only fitting you're the one that's bringing the sheer joy of it to the forum.

Well, thanks Vlad 4 the kind words. I love the 1:6th stuff a lot but I do have a fondness for poly as well. So its nice to see such a great piece on what appears to be a truly great line. I'm just glad I can do my part to help get everyone jazzed about this piece and this line. :rock :duff

Not to belittle Trev's work on this piece, but the Jabba setup, for what it is in the market it's produced for, it was an amazing piece of work that deserved every bit of praise and attention it got.

That said, Trev's dios, in my opinion, are the most impressive and worthwhile in the line and as collectibles in general, great pieces. This one looks fantastic, and the Dooku-Yoda dio looks equally compelling. This line will go far if they can keep up the more dynamic and emotional designs rather than more calm still moments.

Yeah, this line has the potential as well as the LOTR one to be some of the best lines we've ever seen.

Looks real good Josh, thanks for the pictures.

I still don't know if I am going to purchase this piece or not. Probably not....

I'm waiting to see similar pieces of impact in the LOTR dios, Frodo one is close, but Aragor and Uruk Hai is just a generic looking scene. I would love to see a dio in that line of Aragorn bowing to the hobbits at the end of ROTK, that's a beautiful moment in the trilogy I'd proudly display.

As for the Star Wars dios, I imagine I'll only duel/battle ones because those are the most dynamic and emotional moments in the series.

Thanks Allan!

Well, I'm a much bigger fan of LOTR than SW so the impact those have had on me so far is as much as this. So I don't feel the need to see what comes from the LOTR line.

That would be nice. How about a Boromir fighting off the Uruks with an arrow or 2 in him with the hobbits.
