Not exactly.
I have always preferred the sculpted neck. If Sideshow had found a way to keep the sculpted neck while making the head easier to swap, I would have been all for it. Also, the limited articulation in the neck isn't the sculpted neck's fault. It is the spring contraption used in the buck body.
With the neck adapter the way it is now, all we see is a generic neck post. Instead of the generic outer neck sleeve, I would like to see them sculpt the neck for each portrait and slip that on the inner adapter piece. Nothing would go over the base plastic. Instead the outer shell of the neck would be the sculpted neck. Does that make sense?
