Totally agree. Any likeness issues are clearly a result of paint apps and not the sculpt (which is as close to 100% as you can get in 1:6 if you ask me).

From what angle is this not perfect! I agree, the paint apps can make or break even the best sculpt ever (and I think this one is a candidate)

I agree, its the paint on this one. Still while, pretty darn good for production... some of the choices (like how the eyes were done) ends up chaning the overall appearance.

I think, other than the doll dot, the paint was applied very nicely and all, I think the issue was a color choice here and there really.

Its funny how different people have different nits. IMO there is nothing wrong with either the sculpt or the paint. Its just the buck and the tunic holding him back from being a perfect 10.

Well my usual "location" areas around here are still under water so...here's some outdoor shots til the water subsides....

I'm appreciating this one more and more...

My stuff doesn't get to go outside much, but they do get the chance to wander around my house from time to time:

Sorry, I was bored. :lol

Re: the paint apps, I've been pleasantly surprised with the production paint on Bespin Luke and Tatooine Luke & Han. Despite some minor flaws they've turned out looking even better than the prototypes.

I agree that the paint jobs on this Luke and the Han Solo that were recently released are pretty good. Trevor Grove did an incredible job on the headsculpts for both of them! I just wish Sideshow's factory paintjobs were better. I lightened up my Han's hair, and his eyebrows. I still plan on putting some blonde highlights in this Luke's hair to go over the "green" color I see in it now. :monkey4 I just don't think his hair looks as blonde as it should to be "screen accurate" enough for me. That is the only touching up I'm doing with my Luke. Just the hair.

Hasbro's Titanium Series version might be about the right scale:

Ever wonder why Luke plays with a T-16 model when he can fly the real deal?

I think it was just a model in his room and he was just messing with it for the time, same as we mess with our dolls when we could just watch the movies.
