Thats one thing I love. A lesser company would have just thrown a D ring on Anakin's saber and called it Luke's.

But not Sideshow. These are basically 1:6 scaled prop replicas.

I'm still stunned Ben's saber has the dings and melting spots on it that it does, that's detail attention there.

I don't know about "most comprehensive and iconic" Luke so far, look all that you got with the 100th figure from Hasbro, and only $49.99 retail.

Blast shield- Check
Stormtrooper belt- Check
Grappling hook- Check

Don't know about you guys but I'm saving my pennies and going old school :lol

Although in all seriousness... even though their figures were mostly crap every so often they tried a bit harder.

JESUS look at those hands! :lol:monkey3

Hasbro didn't use hands, they used boxing gloves. Their heads were never too bad, certainly not SSC quality, but what hurt their figures were their oddly proportioned figure bodied, bulky arms, fat hands, just had no humanness to them at all, they really were toys, until Dooku came in witha new body that was like a bridge between SSC and early Hasbro.

Wow, that is a whole SLEW of accessories. :lol

Amazing.

That Hasbro Luke may have had a lot of accessories and may have been inexpensive. But it sucked from the first accessory to the last!

And I'll take two 1:6 scale landspeeders!

Looks like they took all the accessories from the other 50 Luke figures they made and threw em in a box together for everyone to buy again :lol

Does Hasbro have Gene Simmons working for them?

He is a marketing genius. His only mistake was making PF Kiss figures instead of 1:6 ones.

I imagine we will see an accessory set for Luke: blast shield head, grappling hook, tools, model fighter, and two stormtrooper belts, and maybe another stormtrooper blaster for good measure.

I just checked and they're not up yet. Perhaps tomorrow or Friday.

Thanks, IJ :monkey2 I am soo excited for this one. Really puts Hasbro to shame and just looks so perfect. If everything holds out Id say this Luke will be one of those flagship figures for the line. I mean come on, cloth leg wraps!

Very nice sculpt and the figure looks great overall, I can't wait for it to be released, hopefully the production version will be as nice as the proto, much like Old Ben figure was.
