Sorry for ya Josh, but I'm happy the ex is the hat and goggles so I can order from Alter ego and save a few bucks.

With a little love the hasbro blast shield might actually work :blissy(goes to dig through fodder bin)

Its cool. No biggie. I'm still gonna get an exclusive but I will store it like some of the other items I don't use.

Looks great, but this is NOT a complete and definitive ANH Luke without a Stormtrooper Belt (same with Han). Sorry.

:lecture :lecture :lecture :lecture :lecture :lecture

(And pixle, having to remove the belts from eventual Stormtroopers doesn't count)

Uh... because we'd then have $90-$120 Stromtroopers without their belts. :lol

Seriously, though, I consider the lack of ST Belts on these two figures a huge nagging oversight... especially considering the inclusion of the blasters. :banghead

Ya, I feel Han should have the belt too, but it's less important than Luke as he actually utilized it to carry the grappling hook and all, Han just wore it, but they should both have one. And as valid as Marc's idea is to use ST belts of those figures down the road, I don't think any ST would have the grappling hook since only Luke used that, so we'd still be missing that key part.

not digging the sculpt....or maybe it's the paint ap. everything else, especially the boots, is wonderful!

The lighting isn't helping the sculpt, the right side of his nose is in almost total light so you don't even see the structure around his nostril, little points, but defining to one's unique face.

Hopefully Sideshow reads here and my comment in the Blog to share bare sculpt shots again, Trev's desk lighting certainly highlighted Han very well.

if Trev sculpted it then we know for sure it's the paint ap/lighting.

He did, he told us so and then some:

I commented this:

Definitely has a "I want to learn the ways of The Force and become a Jedi like my father." vibe to it.

And Trev responded:

That scene was a big influence on the sculpture. That turning point for Luke, you know. Also, though, it goes back to simply needing an expression that won't look too awkward in various scenarios. I had wanted to give him the parted mouth look, but I 'had a bad feeling about it'. :) I thought he'd look much too shocked by everything...or perhaps like he never got over Beru and Owen dying. (which, we all know he gets over that really damn quick! haha)

I don't know if Sideshow will release any shots of the bare sculpt in the blog like they did with Han. I think it depends on you guys asking for it.
thanks!
Trev

Okay, so I'm not insane. I was starting to think I was the only one who wasn't totally blown away yet. I'm definitely thinking it's the washed-out lighting at play here, since Trev wouldn't let us down.

Right?

I don't even think it's the paint having an effect on it, though the eyes seem more generic human than Hammil, much like the Bespin proto, which got fixed, and the hair is a little on the brown side, at least in this lighting.
