i think their system is screwy because these items aren't coming from a central warehouse. They come from individual stores so I doubt inventory is updated real time. You have to just have an open attitude to "whatever happens happens". Last time I ordered from Hastings they sent me a 3 3/4" Obi-Wan instead of a Sideshow Obi-Wan!

Yes, I think that's the crux of the issue. You don't have reliable inventory information, plus you have people in stores all over the place finding, packing, and shipping these things, so you probably don't have the same level of consistency that we're used to.

Are you the one that chose expedited shipping? If so, you should try to order it again. I emailed a few days ago asking why my order never shipped. They said it was because they couldn't find the product I was looking for in any of the stores. I was told they would keep looking for 14 days, and a full refund would be administered if they couldn't find it.

The reason I'm saying this is because I got an email on Friday after both of my items (Hellboy and SS) were shipped. This was in the email:

"We apologize all orders shipped from Gohastings can not be expedited. We have over 150 stores that fill orders from our web site. If you have more than one item on your order, they may arrive at different times as the items may be shipped from different locations."

Some stores might not ship expedited so your order was immediately canceled. I would recommend ordering just to see if it gets cancelled again.

Are you serious? So you basically paid $80 for a 4 inch Obi-Wan? Wow. I'm sure they gave you a refund right?

Well, it was only around twenty dollars at the time (great deal). But yes, I believe he got a refund.

Okay this is strange.

I got my SS Stormtrooper today! I got an email that it shipped yesterday but it came up as the 10th. It came in a box with bubble wrap so maybe certain places ship differently then others. The box has a price sticker on it and the box is not in perfect condition but it looks alright. I'll open it to see how it looks.

Yeah I got my refund. I just had to call them and they emailed me a shipping label and I sent it back. Once they got it back they gave me a refund. It was more humorous than annoying.

I never really followed the Stormtrooper release but are the plates supposed to move? And are the feet supposed to be dirty? Otherwise, this figure is great and hopefully my Hellboy will be the same (it shipped separately)

Yeah, that's pretty much the way it's supposed to be. The armor is loose and the shoes are kind of weathered looking.

Great! So overall, some places are shipping differently than others. On the box, it says it has a tracking number but the site doesn't have it listed. Mine shipped from the Texas store.

I also just got my Stormtrooper. It came in an outer box and aside from some shelf wear on the bottom of the Stormtrooper box, it was perfect.

So has anyone received packages they weren't expecting that they weren't charged for or have you been charged and you just didn't get update emails or see anything in your account?

As of right now, I only have one charge (for the Stormtrooper), but I think they're just slow in putting them through. While it's possible that people could get things that they didn't receiving shipping notices for, I don't expect them to forget to charge you.

Well I don't think they'll forget period, but I'm just curious if I should be surprised to have an Iron Man show up anyway, seems like these guys really don't have their ^^^^ together and some store could have shipped one to me while some other person trying to process it ends up cancelling it. If that happens, hopefully I could get a good price for it since I've already ordered one elsewhere.

I received an authorization charge when I placed the order, which has since disappeared. My items including Iron Man were supposedly shipped Thursday at some point (though I have received no tracking information, and cannot view this from their site). As of now, I have no charge on my account for my items, which is a pain because I don't like my checking account not being up to date.

I should note that Toys R Us also shipped me some stuff around the middle of last week and I still do not see the charge on my online account statement.

Just got Luke ANH from Texas. He was in a box all by his lonesome (no bubbles, peanuts or packing). A little shelf-wear on the box but he's in perfect condition. Still waiting on two figures; Obi Wan is coming from Idaho and Vader is coming from Arkansas.

You got a tracking number? My Stormtooper had a tracking number on the box, but not on the site. Also, it says it was shipped on the 10th, even though I got an email on the 11th.

Even more confusing, I got a shipping email for the Hellboy I ordered before the SS Stormtrooper one.
