I posted this already in a different thread, but figured I would throw up a pic in here anyways.

Is that the Soul of Popynica???? I really want it but price... :monkey4

And nice muv-luv statue, I dig the flow of the hair.

I'm jealous. I really hope Bandai reissues the bike one day. Getting the 1/6 figures is easy enough, but getting the bike for non ridiculous prices is impossible.

I paid $699 for it BNIB. I can happily say it is well worth it! Plus I bought it from someone in the us so no paying high custom fees.

That's quite a handful, but I'm sure it's worth it for any true fan of that movie, which is monumental in anime history. Plus that bike is a piece of art.

$699 is actually on the low end compared to what it sells for normally especially BNIB. But I agree the bike is an amazing piece of art. I don't buy hardly any collectibles anymore, but I finally got around to selling some old stuff and knew this was my only chance to get one since I had the spare cash.

I looked at that for the longest time but price is high, that is effn' great.
Watched Akira a lot growing up, had the soundtrack too but it was all about Keneda's bike. Very nice, congrats.

Thanks :hi5: Kanedas bike is probably one of the most memorable vehicles in any show or movie. Though I had to pick up Kaneda to sit on the bike. It just wouldn't look right imo without him. I still need to grab the soundtrack. I have been wanting to for a very long time since it's one of my favorite scores.

Finally got Ryo! He looks awesome with Saeko!

Has anyone else used the website Playmoya? Ive used it once before to buy my Nasca statue. It all went well and my figure looks pretty sweet. Just wondering if they are all genuine figures? How do u tell? The prices seem to vary on there quite a bit :dunno

They seem legit to me. I haven't actually ordered there, but their prices are often quite amazing when they have deals and you can get some stuff there that is sold out or not sold elsewhere.

That's why I thought id ask about them here. I got my Shunya Yama****a "Nasca" from them a few months ago. It was around $125 and it was the only place online I could find one. Now they have another one. I was going to get a few other figures from them that I like but because I saw the Nasca back in stock I thought maybe they weren't genuine. It does have the "copyright Shunya Yama****a" stamp on the bottom tho. I don't really know a lot about bootleg anime figures. The site does claim that only genuine figures are sold :dunno

Thanks :hi5:
Im going to be getting a few more from that site because they have a lot of older figures and im playing catch up :rotfl

So how do I spot fakes with these figures?

I didn't know that site but they have a few things I'm interested in so thanks:)

I ended up getting nothing because with shipping it ended up a bit more expensive than on amazon :duff

yeah shipping is a little pricey on there. I mainly use that site for rarer figures. They seem to have a lot of older figures on there that are hard to find.

What I bought were the 3 Gemini Rurouni Kenshin figures. they'd become pretty rare on most sites but Amazon still had some.

They're legit (and a great resource for sales); they tend to undercut a lot of other stores (with the exception of AmiAmi's used section sometimes).

https://myfigurecollection.net/search/ has a great database; if you search for a figure, it'll let you know if there are any known bootlegs (and often, provide pictures that other users have uploaded).

Makoto Shishio (Rurouni Kenshin) G.E.M. 1:8 PVC Figure - MegaHouse

Finally a Kenshin piece! Shishio is the first I got but I have Kenshin and Saito on order.
This is a very typical Japanese piece. 1:8 so a bit small, PVC but very finely sculpted. The switch out arms are cool and I like the flame effect. I love the eyes on this piece, very well done.

Shishioo would be such an interesting character for a PF if done correctly. I wonder if it would be possible to wrap his whole body like a mummy in mixed media or if that would not work. It'd be so amazing.
