Re: Announced 12 inch figure by Episode...

It is a pretty lopsided representation of the SW universe, thus far....

PS I never thought of how clever SS was at taking Mace Windu as a representation of all 3 movies.. Interesting...

Re: Announced 12 inch figure by Episode...

The reason is because the Order of the Jedi was the first line and other than Luke/Old Ben and Yoda there was nothing in the OT to pick from for the entire line.

I gussed that after Maul was announced that they would go back to the Heros of the Rebellion line for one or two.

I also think part of the reason is because other than the General the entire PF line has been OT so the 12" line has given more PT love.

Re: Announced 12 inch figure by Episode...

yeah i tried to figure out why they included both of Mace's lightsabers. makes sense to me. i would hate for them to turn into master replicas and produce the same character 3 times.(with just lightsaber variations and calling the "pristine, super bald-glaring head version")

Two OT characters and zero female characters. I think the next figure (if it isn't Bespin Luke) should be Leia.

If they do the Hoth version she won't have any exposed joints and can be displayed with Han.

With each passing moment, I'm getting resigned to the fact that Palpy wouldn't be announced as the next 12" figure.

But I would jump for joy if he's announced as the next PF figure! :emperor

How about a Bespin red gown Leia to go with the Han. Plus that's one of the few versions of her we never got with the Hasbro line.

Greedo would be cool for their first ANH offering and could kick off the scoundrels line.

Red gown would be cool but her Hoth outfit was worn on Hoth, the Falcon, and Cloud City. I like the all-inclusive (no pun intended) nature of that one.

The more that I think about it the more curious I am as to how they'll do an ESB Leia. She wore the Hoth outfit with her hair up, the Bespin gown with her hair in loops, and then the Hoth suit without jacket with hair in loops.

I wonder if they'll do a "Cloud City Escape" Leia as a singular character or if they'll find a way to let you combine the Hoth outfit with the Bespin Gown head...or if they'll *gasp* have the red gown be an exclusive with Cloud City Escape Leia's standard white jumpsuit and Stormtrooper blaster.

I vote for the latter!:D

The ratio of PT to OT figures so far in the 12" line isn't great but with the 30th Anniversary of ANH due next year I'm sure things will even out. While I'm pleased to see Maul is next I'd like to see some more Heroes Of The Rebellion such as Leia and Lando in the next couple of pre-orders.

Those darn hair changes on Leia do make her a complicated figure... my preference as well would be for the blaster-weilding Bespin version. I think that'd be a cool look and would work well with Han, even though he's frozed at that point :monkey3

I hope so otherwise the back of Han's box is going to be pretty empty.

That's a good call, there would need to be a least a few more figures in the hopper before they release him. You're pretty brainy!

Very interesting. I never thought of that, good call indeed...

They'll probably just add the pix from OOTJ and Sith Ani. There's no way they can release 3 more Heroes before Han ships.

But I agree, I feel LEIA HOTH/BESPIN will be announced for SDCC with a new female body -- thus opening the doors for Sarah Connor, Arwen, etc...

That would be pretty sweet:chew

I sure hope so because all the female characters I have seen sideshow do are pretty sad bobble-headed hunnies with tiny arms and legs.

Remember they already have "announced" Snow Bunny Padme. Apart from Padme & Leia there really aren't any "canon" females other than the few female Jedi. Of course then you can add in Aurra Sing & Asajj Ventress. I'd hope for an Asajj before Leia :maul
