Another CIV GG exclusive!!!

What is Exclusive Giant thinking? Do they sell anything that isn't an exclusive? Or a second repainting? And people complain about the Endor Troopers! Sheesh.

Lame. I'm sick of all this artsy fartsy ****. No more McQuarrie figures, statues, dolls, etc! The concept drawings should be just that.

And they're even making holiday special stuff? Lucasfilm is really selling out. "Celebration" events are supposed to represent the film franchise, but they end up representing everything that's wrong with people. Hostility, greed, anger, BAD HYGIENE! Making people stand in line for hours to get this junk is one of the most revolting things ever.

Sadly true though. I saw (well I guess smelled) plenty of people at SDCC that probably skipped the shower that week to get in the front of the lines. There are sterotypes for a reason - some of those people actually exist!

Ok lets be realistic, LOTS of those people exist. But to be fair the few times I went to E3 it was pretty bad. There were a handful of people in robes and you could tell it was get up put on a robe and goto E3.

I don't know...I'm getting "Gentle Giant" -ed out....
I've got a Jango on order, I'm picking up a Gree at ClV, and as much as I'd like a Cody, my luck's rotten at lottos (especially ones where the chance to play is $50....sheesh) and I'm too fond of my right arm and left nut to go after this guy.

Talk about taking the fun out of it...

Are they really making Holiday Special stuff? Isn't funny how George Lucas has always stated that he hated the Holiday Special,but he and other companies can still make some coin off of it? Not too bad for something that only aired once and exists only on bootlegs.

I believe the "official" line on this is that its Fett as he appeared in the Droids cartoon (or at least on the packaging of the Droids cartoon Kenner action figure.)

I've never been a fan of repainted statues or busts etc, unless it's a different clone or something like that.

The fact the Boba Fett Maquette has been out less than a year and is on it's third repaint, just shows how disappointing and cheap GG has become lately. They've really let their standards drop and judging by this thread fans have had enough of it.

Does anyone think that by making figures like the McQuarrie concepts, that these companies are turning the collector off or is this what people really want? I know why I was so turned off by Hasbro after a few years of collecting them, after the 53rd version of Luke I had had it. I know these companies are like any other business, they are there to make money but I personally see a figure like this rehashed GG Holiday Fett maquette as a turnoff.

I know I don't have to buy it and I'm not ragging on people who like it, but C'Mon GG if you are willing to release a Holiday Fett at LEAST change the pose! This is BOBA FETT, one of the most beloved characters of Star Wars. The Holiday Special is where he made his SW debut. At least release a different version of him, maybe even holding that "pitchfork" Sonic weapon thingy!

It's all about the almighty $$$ (as companies should be--- but they need to watch that as it can be a double-edged sword). Look at all the repainted clones from Hasbro---

I was a completist collector of the 3 3/44 line for ROTS... I've pretty much been soured on the products that they've released and am not interested in putting my hard earned money in their pocket anymore. That's why I love SS and the unique items that they offer. Yes, they're about making a profit-- but they listen to their "fan" base and the products reflect that (for the most part).

GG....hmmmmmm, nice Boba. Sign me up for two -- maybe not.
