Saw this in my inbox this morning, not a bad attempt but something still seems alittle off to me but I can't work out what it is. I think it's the chin and pronounced cheek bones.

:lol Ada cracks me up, she has a Morgan Freeman sculpt I was inquiring about but I wanted to make it Freeman from Shawshank. So I would just need the mustache taken out, she e-mails me telling me that making such a change would cost me $120????

$25 - $120? :lol Thats a little steep I think. :D

Frontal looks good. But Ada's work on profiles are not always as accurate.

I think thats what she charges to do a new sculpt. The $25 is for casts of her already finished sculpts. Taking out the mustashe still means she has to take time to make a mold of the sculpt and pour a cast. Its probably not worth it to her to have to make a new mold just for you.

It's not a bad Hopkins head, you can definitely see him in there, but not a strong SOTL Lecter head. Hannibal's hair was slicked back, so from a front on, the top of his head has a strong curver, the hair on this head looks more like the older photo posted with the figure head, which isn't the right hair style for Lecter. There's also a lack of wrinkling showing in the eyes, and that's a very defining thing about his face, especially with all the closeups Demme did.

I guess you could probably sand the moustache for much less! :D

Ditto. Take a dremmel to it and smooth it out with some sculpty.

The Lecter sculpt would be nice if it were regular 1/6 scale, but as we all know Ada's stuff tends towards the smaller medicom scale. That said, the medicom hannibal is a nice sculpt and just needs a repaint, as customikey showed us:

No need to buy a new head or go looking for a 1/6 straight jacket. What I want from Ada is a Danny Glover in the proper scale to make a Lt. Harrigan to go with my Pred. 2. But with her it's such a crap shoot. However, I am putting a custom together using her Marv sculpt and it does seem to be in the right proportion, and it's a nice sculpt. But everything else I've seen of hers, from the Tom Waits to the Bill Murray, is way too small.

Ada's Morgan Freeman sculpt is just as small, if not smaller than Bill Murray. I was pissed when I got it, because it's pretty much worthless. The really nice thing is I bought it at the same time as I bought her Alfred Hitchcock head, which also has size problems. The Alfred head is so oversized, it's almost a different scale! Ada is way too hit-and-miss for me, so unless someone else buys the sculpt and verifies it is accurately sized, I don't order from her anymore.

It looks just like Anthony Hopkins, but a little squished. If you could just stretch his face, it would be perfect.

FYI, of what I've gotten from her Marv and Bishop are pretty much spot on as far as scale goes. Her Tom Waits is medicom-sized, which was fine because I was going to put him with my Andy Warhol anyways.

Thanks for the heads up but sorry for the let down at the same time. Some of her stuff looks great but then some not so good.
