Any chance that Sideshow Collectibles could form a partnership with IKea?

Hey Sideshow, Any chance that Sideshow Collectibles could form a partnership with IKea to offer their "Besta's" and "other collectible display options" to Sideshow Collectors? It's not a bad idea is it everyone?

"Besta's" on Flexpay, I like the sound of that.

Yes darthviper that was my point. ordering from the Ikea website is really expensive! It would cost me as much in shipping as it would for the Besta's! Sideshow's Flexpay would be better on collectors who could not otherwise afford the Besta's.

Could be a nice seller for SSC if they could get their shipping discount with this sort of thing. Surely, the shipping cost is what keeps me away from ordering directly from Ikea. But warehousing and distribution would be a pain probably.

Me too! We don't have an IKea where I live. Not only that but I don't have a way of going to pick them up. So really my only choice would be to order them and have them shipped to me and IKea's shipping costs are a killer! and I need the Flexpay! I truly feel that this would be a money maker for both IKea and Sideshow Collectibles. I think that IKea would sell even more home furnishings this way, and that Sideshow Collectibles would sell even more Collectibles if they also offered the home furnishings needed to display their collectibles. It would be a win win situation for both Ikea and Sideshow Collectibles if you ask me.

The items that IKEA is shipping weigh so much, thus meaning very high shipping charges. I really don't see the shipping charges getting much cheaper if Sideshow distributed their items.

You may be right about the shipping charges not getting much cheaper but, IKea does not offer their home furnishings on payment plans as far as I know.

I would have to have someone drive way more than 20 min. to get to an IKea. Just the gas money alone would be costly.

Wow, what a naive request. Do you know why it costs so much to ship furniture instead of toys? Because a detolf weighs like 70lbs and a statue weight like 15lbs. Its not ikea's fault their shipping is expensive. SSC would charge the same. Plus they'd charge more because they aren't equipped with warehouses as big as Ikea and they'd have to pay for freight to their warehouse.

I understand how helpful flex pay can be...but to be honest, the chances of this happening I think are slim to none. Why can't you just do your own flex pay - what you would probably pay each month - put away in savings until you get enough? If you think you may spend it and not save it - do you have a friend you trust, who could hold your money for you?
