Just curious to know why you only wish to get the item when the edition size is larger? I thought it is usually the other way round.... ??

I think Tom was joking but I don't see this being a big seller and I think the secondary market for this will be small. Thus the price will drop after it's released.

honestly I usualy don't mind a high ed. size.
but to say its 600 (perhaps just to get people to order it) and then putting the ES up to 800 (after enough where ordered) is just wrong IMHO.

Actually, I after looking at the aftermarket price of most of the PF's, I think I'll be getting them ALL on Ebay unless I must have the exclusive.

I can't wait to get the regular Boba and Luke/Yoda PF's for around $200 each.:chew

I'd be surprised to see them drop that far but I think they'll be available for closer to $250.

You'll be able to get one for $175 EASILY.

Edit: Oops, I just saw that you're referencing the PF's instead of the bust. Trust me, Boba will be readily available for $200. I've already seen several for under $250, and the ES isn't even announced yet.

They'll probably set the regular at 2,500 or so, and the aftermarket will hit the $200 range- just watch.

That's half the price of Luke. No way in hell they'll drop that low.

They do need to lower the ES's of these though. The exclusives should be from 500-1000 depending on the character and the regulars should be double the exclusive.

I'll put more clearly:

Morgul Lord Bust= $175
Luke/Yoda & Boba= $200

The pieces will hit those prices w/o too much trouble. Look at the current PF's. You can get PF Obi for $175, PF Luke for $90, and PF Han for around $130. I haven't checked on Vader, Leia, and Grievous prices lately.

Well, unlike Weta, SS didn't claim to be non-profitable in selling statues/busts... thats EXACTLY what they do for a living... depends how you see it... they are businessman afterall...personally whether they produce 1 piece or a billion piece, as long as I have one. I will be happy. Though I must admit that if there is ever a unique piece, the chance that we as customers will get it is nearly nil...

A business company shall be trustable. I did not order the ML but I can guess some people ordered it just because ES is 600. Accordingly they have the right to be disappointed when the promise is not kept.

Yes when you buy a grey Hulk PF or a grey hulk vs spidey diorama, you ordered this as first you know they are more limited and second that color change (because think if it was the green that been limited to 179 this would be sold out now and the grey not ).
So increase ES when sideshow write previously in there newsletter that this has been set to 600, and write more with the word "LOW", I think they might explain us how 800 is now low as they increase the ES with 1/3.
I hope with grey hulk PF they not continue but I see that they think customers only need to paid and shut there mouth.
So now I'm really bothered and think I'm not alone because if you want to make an ES of 800 put it directly and don't write 600 and when see selling more faster put 800. What will be the next, write 50 units, sold out in 2 minute and after write "Sorry server crash" and increase with 100 and after write "worry wrong number the true ES is 150" and after and after.
If you cannot respect your write just write "TBD" until you can send it to customer with the real ES.
But you don't want to loose money as you see the price on second market.
Now I will cancel this as I think I will find it for less on ebay with this ES and because I'm disappointed. Or perhaps simply not buy it.
Sorry but this is my point of view even you don't like it. Some things need to be told.

I will have to agree with the majority here...raising the edition so late to 800 rieally stinks ...has SS given an excuse for this one yet??
