There could be so many good Robert De Niro sculpts/figures!

Taxi Driver (with two types of hair - full and shaved)
Godfather
Raging Bull (in boxing outfit or one slim and one fat)
Cape Fear (has to be without his top on with all tats on show)
The Untouchables
Heat

I'd love to see what Andy could do with sculpting his face!

There were a few sets of "knockoff" heads that had the Taxi Driver, Heat and Deer Hunter[?] sculpts. Then BBi also did a DeNiro assassin figure when the G1 was still their figure body.

Check out www.goodstufftogo.net under the 1/6 scale heads category. They hvae DeNiro from "Heat", and "Taxi Driver" regular and mohawk. Sets are $15 for a two pack. I have the Heat set and am very pleased with it.

I have the Taxi Driver set but missed out on the Heat set. I thought when I first saw pictures of the Val Kilmer head it didn't look too good, but I have since seen better pics and I've changed my mind, it looks very good.

Mindbook, that looks stunning. :google

Just out of curiosity, why did you choose to use the 'Goodfellas' era headsculpt, instead of the one that was specifically from 'Heat'?

Hi Andy,
I know this is going to sound strange, but I felt the density of De Niro's hair for the HEAT film was between your specific HEAT sculpt & the Goodfella's sculpt. It was combed tight to the skull, almost slicked back in appearance, so I chose the slicked back instead, which is not really noticeable when it is painted, the shape of the hair(graphically) is close to the film, but that is my own specific taste(I might be insane!)It was a test.....I was going to paint your specific HEAT head sculpt after(at some point) to see the difference.

I do a lot of tests like that....I drive myself crazy......You probably do the same thing right?

Thanks!

I see where you're coming from with your subject choices. Once again, beautiful work! Can't wait to see what else you come up with.

Hi there, I have a painted figure of Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver from the 'are you talking to me?' scene. I'm wanting to sell it. Any advice? Cheers. Rod
