Any thoughts on who might get the license for The Hobbit figures?

Haven't heard anything in any scale or format, but I'm very curious to see whether Sideshow might pick it up and maybe work with HT again, or maybe HT will go for the license...
Any ideas?

It's hard to say right now. Hopefully someone will. Trouble with HT getting it is that we'd probably only get Bilbo.

I'd love for HT to do a bilbo and a gollum. Maybe an orc or something to spice it up. But I will freely admit I have NO interest in buying any of the dwarves. I made my gimli. All I need. And my sideshow gandy is just fine. So i'm good with just that.

I would want Gandalf, Bilbo, Thorin and Bilbo. After that I wouldn't care too much... So4 characters pretty much rules HT out. :lol

The pics from The Hobbit show Gandalf not looking any different, so you might not need another one. I would love to have all the Dwarfs.

Whoever does the statues/maquettes I would be a ton on getting the entire traveling party.

Hot Toys will get it. And do Gandalf and Bilbo and call it a day.

Then they will announce the Lord of the Rings license and do yet another Gandalf, Aragorn and Legolas and call it a day.

I can wish anyways.

And if anyone tells me that the Sideshow LOTR are "good enough", well, they aint "good enough" in my book.

I think Gandalf is the best of the lot, and Boromir isn't bad, Sam either, the rest......well, they're good from the neck down! :D

Frodo is just as good as Sam I think. Legolas and Aragorn are the weakest of the lot sculpt wise.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose. Personally, thought Tim nailed both big time.

The sculpts aren't bad, it's the paint!

I had my Aragorn and Faramir repainted and they made a WORLD of difference.

I had no problem with Legolas, Boromir or any of the Hobbits. My only gripe with the hobbits was that they were too big, scale-wise. But it wasn't a deal-breaker.

I agree my Faramir done by Les looks much better than the factory paint one I have.

That makes me think I need to take pics of my Gimli Les painted for me.
