Does it annoy anyone else when a figure has easily visible joints like those found on the Bruce Lee DX? I'm even annoyed by wrist joints, and it causes me to try and pose them in a way for their sleeves to hide them... Which then causes me to get irritated when the sleeves are slightly too short lol. Just seems odd to me that Hot Toys released Leonidas without visible joints, but newer figures still have them.

I remember first seeing a DX01 Joker years ago and scoffing at the price for a 12" statue. It wasn't until this past Comic Con did I realize these 1/6 figures were heavily accessorized and articulated while maintaining a very lifelike appearance. Anyone else have an opinion on this matter?

Are exposed joints annoying? Absolutely. But until a superior alternative is created i.e. a body that doesn't deteriorate, doesn't get stained, doesn't flake up/crease and doesn't break, etc. then you gotta accept what's available.

There are articulation issues with figures that have full rubber bodies (king leonidas). Articulation is very limited on these bodies. However it does look incredibly more realistic. Im itching for a Leonidas figure.

Yes sir. Yes it does bother me greatly.
So I do prefer statues if the figure is a shirtless guy.

Doesn't bother me at all...I mean,it's figures so what do you expect?Rubber bodies like the old ones that cover every visible joint really sucks, the articulation is limited and if you try to get the pose you want it will really cause trouble for the rubber stretching and bending it.

I own every single Rambo and Rocky figure which are all Rubber except the M65 so i know the trouble and headaches these Rubber bodies cause:(

Yup.

I hate the sight of joints, but what can you do? There's no foolproof way right now to not have visible joints, and to have poseability.

don't worry guys! HT are working on a jointless body that will last not 1, not 2, but a whopping 10 years! you get a full decade to enjoy your $150 future-trash! rejoice!
