Well we live in a time of trolling and attention whores so I wouldn't be surprised if this was all fake.
Anyone else suffering from MAJOR depression after watching Avatar?

It has to be a joke...
There simply can't be that many psychologically disturbed individuals in an single location (outside of Washington DC).

Absolutly true. I'm sure some people took a huge counter iniciative after they read such things as "I'm so depressed...blah blah blah" and decided to create their own insane stories.
But mine was less about attention, and more about weather these avatards would see past my obvious bull____, and attack me for it. One guy did. Props to him!
And i'm glad some of you enjoyed it. It was fun to write....heh. I do enjoy writing from time to time. I'm not that good...but who knows. Maybe I havent found my forte. Maybe I should write a romance novel.

You should stick to tit and fart stories ........... they're the only ones that turn into true Hollywood materpieces imo. Todays audience is so dumb if you were to omit explosions, gun shots and swear words you'd lose them.
I remember Robert Zemeckis mentioning in an interview (about 15 years ago) that he thought the only thing Hollywood was missing was original stories/ideas.
Boy was he ever right.
Sadly, Avatardation is all too real a phenomenon. I've encountered some in everyday life already.
What's shocking to me is it only took these folks about 3 weeks to already surpass the diehard fans of Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, LOTR, Whedon, comic books and even Twilight as the lamest, dorkiest diehard fanbase out there.
I preface that with "diehard", because certainly you can like and appreciate this movie without being one of the full-fledged Avatards.

Funny Zemeckis said that. He hasnt done an original...or real movie in years.
I also hate Avatards. I loved the movie...but I can pin point all it's faults, and issues easily. Its a fun film, and its one of the best this year......but JESUS CHRIST NOT AT THE LEVEL PEOPLE ARE CLAMING IT TO BE.
Doesn't mean he was wrong though.

Theres money to be made. He's one of Hollywoods most gifted film makers ............ it doesn't mean his quote was wrong.
I liked that movie quite a bit actually.
So did I. It was better than both POLAR EXPRESS and BEOWULF (cgi included). I found it to be a wonderful adaptation of the classic Dickens tale.

Sorry I meant "Do something about it Zemeckis." He needs to come up with an original storyline. . .instead of doing A Christmas Carol, a story that has been done literally hundreds of times. I guess I am saying what CelticP was, it is an ironic quote.

I hated both of those. Beowulf lacked soul, Polar was just boring. I didnt bother with ACC. I cant stand the guy now. He created some of the greatest films of all time....and now....so meh. All my opinion a course.

I kind of enjoyed Beowulf , I just laughed everytime the hero spoke with Winstons voice. Seemed strange.

You could say the same about F.F.Coppola, DePalma too .......... times change. Its all about the moola these days. Frank Darabont made 2 films I absolutely love ............ he could produce the worst B crap movies for the rest of his life and i'd never lose respect for the man. Frank Darabont made The Shawshank Redemption ................... thats all i'll ever need to remember. Who cares about the present.

I guess. But I think the guy can create some great things....I just wish he would DO it. He's just ____ing around with tech now.
And on the note of FD, he is the man. The Mist is one of my favorite horror flicks.
And his Indy 4 script is good stuff. I cant believe Lucas kicked him off.
