Idk how I feel bout that ending tbh
I agree. Arcane pretty much has the best animation and style I've ever seen. Spiderverse is great as well, but I think it's too flashy and gimmicky.I honestly think arcane is better than spider verse. That’s just me tho. Spiderverse has that weird stop motion thing going sometimes
I knew nothing about the world of League of Legends before watching Arcane.
Since the end of season 2 I've watched several videos, picking up a little about Runeterra, the differences between the game and series, and what the ending may mean in terms of future seasons. A few commentators speculated Jinx was heading to Noxus.
WARNING: Spoilers in the video in the first few seconds for anyone not having yet watched the second season.
Some of the videos also showed gameplay, and it's surprising that an arcade style with a viewpoint looking down at little characters doing flashy flashy arcade things could give rise to such an involving animated series. It's the kind of show I'd have expected to arise out of an immersive first person format, or even third person as in The Last of Us.
Have never played the game, it never interested me. But I love Arcane, great show with a captivating story and really beautiful art design. Is Arcane the first adaptation, at least in terms of video games, to surpass the source material?
Because that game is terrible and the show is amazing.
You don't need to know a single thing about League of Legends lore to understand Arcane.I finished up this show. I only started watching it because I saw discussion about whether Fallout or Arcane was the better adaptation, and some folks thought Arcane was superior, and I thought Fallout was very good, so I felt obligated to give Arcane a shot. I didn't really get it. It just felt like there was a bunch of lore I needed to understand. Granted, I am familiar with Fallout's lore but totally unfamiliar with Arcane/League of Legends.
Reading through these comments, I see some things I agree with, like the pacing of Season 2. It did feel like there were missing episodes. Like the penultimate episode happened, and then the finale a big battle is starting, and it took me a while to figure out what was going on. I understood the general conflict and the players, but it just seemed like the battle started out of nowhere.
I really liked the alternate universe episode though, showing what would happen if Vi had died.
In any case, Fallout > Arcane.
