The highly anticipated 3D adventure fantasy Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides movie presented by Walt Disney Pictures will be globally launched in May this year.

To keep in line with the movie launch, Hot Toys is proud to present the 1/6th scale Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides movie from the DX series, highlighting the highly detailed head sculpt with two interchangeable faces with different gestures, sophisticated costume and the movie-accurate rudder as accessory.

The 1/6th scale Captain Jack Sparrow Collectible Figure specially features:

- TrueType body with over 30 points of articulation

Just took my time with the pics and my overall opinion so far is homerun more or less.

Look at how complicated this costume design is in terms of layers, buttons, cuffs, beads, it all looks great. Baffling they could do a guy like Indy with khakis and a shirt such injustice.

The head looks much better in these photos and the 2nd is blurred because they are going to rework it and make it better! They are learning it would seem from Indy, Spidey, and Alice.

Digging the wheel too, I thought we'd get a barrel of rum to prop his foot on but this is far cooler.

Indeed. Id sure like to get two of these bad boys though. One to display serious with coat and hat at the helm and a second to display with the smiling face and no coat/hat.

The fact they are reworking the smiling face gives more hope that they are reworking Indys as well. They should have done with Indy what they did with Jack here. Release head sculpt pics first and hear the reactions

I'm sure they will toss that in like they did with the first Jack. They can't over look something like that!

In some pictures the sculpt still feels a bit off (like the two behind the wheel), but overall it looks fantastic. The head/eye position can really make for some great likenesses.

The outfit looks great, and posing him behind/with the wheel will be incredible.

Worse case scenario, since I sold my old one, Ill just buy a 1:6 scale rum bottle off ebay or whatever

It's too bad the DXs look like they're going to come with a 'deluxe' diorama base now. It pushes the price up too far.
