Statue ARH Conan W/Slave Girl and 8FT Snake

It looks like a good piece, i like Conan's pose and paints and i like the snake and its paints, i did think the snake was gonna be bigger but i'm sure it hand its pretty damn big.

The pose and the face of the girl definitely need work, it doesn't work for me at all, i think i'd prefer it without the girl altogether, i'd have preferred a a guy cut in two or a rotting corpse, something that gave the piece a bit more attitude.

I'm looking forward to some proper pics. I'm actually kinda surprised at the pics, Averone you do some amazing pics of your Bowen stuff with really nice lighting, no idea why you used flash on this, you know Flash doesn't do any piece, no matter how good, any favours.

Like i said it looks good but it really really needs to be great and it could be with some work.

Conan and the snake looks good,But the girl ruins the whole piece.If i ever get i would displayed it without the girl.And please don't use GLOSS on the statues it makes it look like plastic.

I had pretty much already decided that the SS Conan Rage PF was for me, as it looks like someone took my mental image of Howard's Conan directly from my brain .....

But people are being too harsh here. The flash is obviously messing with the image (.....and always destroys the detail of polystone statues)

And the pics don't give any sense of scale on their own. If Conan is 1/4 scale, then that snake and base is indeed quite massive.
....perhaps a pic next to a standard 1/4 ARH statue so we can get a sense of size?

The slave girl definitely needs some work though .... does indeed look like a blow up doll as others have said. .....and what's with the neck join on the slave girl ? Does she have multiple heads ? Why isn't she in one piece? These aren't figures ....statue collectors HATE visible joins.

- slave girl really is terrible!!
- snake coming out of the base, not doing it for me.
- Conan himself is very ordinary looking..doesn't have a conan feel to him.. maybe a hardcore fan would know more on that just my opinion

SS Rage of the Undying PF blows this away...

I will stick to the greek stuff from ARH

I hope ARES is better!! & No golden Athena is also a shame...a definite buy on hold...not completed in time

But from what i have seen SS conan is better for now!And those horrible pictures probably pushed a lot of guys on getting SS conan instead.

You have to remember these photo are from the Studio and still proto, bad lighting, not th proper settings.

As for the general piece, the Sideshow one looks a lot better, but this is to be expected. What I do like is that this piece tells a story, which I think is the only weakness to the Sideshow piece (it doesn't really tell any kind of story though it isn't trying to). I also appreciate the way size was handled. I was worried this would be ridiculously huge like Medusa was, but it looks like this piece is a bit more confined in a way I think works really well for it. The snake is more serpent like thanks to this. The scene seems very fitting to something you might have read in the stories.

Conan and the Snake are good the girl however definitely needs to be reworked. She does look like a a cheap blow up doll and absolutely takes away from the dio. Arahom will have to address/fix her pose to make her look more realistic.
