I think I am just gonna wait and get the regular for less than retail. The exclusive is unimpressive to me.

As good as the head sculpt is I'm also quite impressed with the body sculpting. That isn't just a generic buff guy. Its very obviously Arnold's specific arms and chest. Really well done.

In person you can see his nipples. Blood covers one and the lighting and black make-up paint obscures the other one.

For those comparing him to the NECA which has textured skin - wasn't Arnold's look for this film pretty much the oiled up body builder? I don't think we saw that much dimpling of his skin in any scene, especially this one. And I'm not keen on the NECA expression - it may be appropriate to the scene, but it's a bit extreme.

Still not 100% convinced I'm going to buy this one - there are other poses and I'd definitely prefer to not have the body make-up. But I think a lot of the complaints aren't truly justified.

*Sigh*.... He has nipples, they are just obscured by the paint.

Did they paint his nipples on? I don't see anything, even hidden under the paint.

I agree about the Neca facial expression. it is a tad extreme. As far as the body goes, Arnorld in Conan the Barbarian was not as ripped as he was in Conan the Destroyer. John Millus did not want Mr. Olympia he wanted something more natural looking. HOWEVER Arnold had no Dimples in the Movie so if Neca's has that then they are off. From what I can tell in the photos though I think Neca did a pretty good job. A good figure but not even close to the sideshow version.

The Body on sideshows is about perfect. The Sideshow facial expression could be sneering a bit more. But the body is dead on.

Somebody needs to give Wofford a tittie twister. One of those really hard bruising ones. :D

I've seen images of the unpainted sculpt, the nips are definitely there, the paint and lighting are just obscuring them a lot.

And I agree with Dave about the skin texture.... Sculpturally speaking, the PF is accurate. I like the textured look of the NECA piece, for a toy... But in reality that's a very stylized surface, you would never see that degree of texture on a person unless:

a) He had a severe case of the goosebumps, or
b) You were looking under a microscope

Arnold's flesh in particular is almost glassy-smooth at times... If you were to shrink Arnie down to 18 inches tall you wouldn't be able to see his skin pores with the naked eye. I know this sounds really anal but this is one reason I always prefer subtle skin on human sculpts (as opposed to the texture overload often seen on McFarlane and Neca figures).

My only nitpick with this PF is the white paint... I like how they made the black war paint look as if it was applied by hand (just like the movie), but they forgot to do that with the white paint. That should also be a *little* more smudged looking (with some more flesh showing through in places), instead of the super smooth airbrushed application we're seeing now. I think that is contributing to the 'porcelain' look some folks have mentioned. Other than that I'm definitely digging this piece!

*edit: On a side note, I LOVE the fur they used on this piece. I don't know what it is, but I really hope the fur on the production figures looks like that. :rock
