This is just the toe in the water. We haven't seen full blown Arnie yet. But it was close.

Forrest Whittaker....:lol. He took it so seriously.

I don't think it will. At the Q&A he said that Conan, Commando and Twins sequels are all in the works.

He's got 2 more films in post production already with 'The Tomb' and 'Ten'. King Conan could be affected though. This flick is really just a warm up I think. I can't wait to see it, its not out til Feb in Australia.

Movie bombed on opening...ouch.
Too much good competition already. OH well...

And Mama was number 1 lol I never even heard of this movie till I saw Jeremy Jahns review lol
Not even a single commercial. Weird.

Saw it earlier, all in all its a solid action flick and it has its moments but being a huge fan of Arnold i expected somthing a little better. They didnt flesh out the characters enough IMO, i wanted more Arnold, Shame about the flat opening to. Was cool seeing Arnold BACK tho!

Whitaker did take his role very seriously LOL.

i liked the last stand. it was a fun, serviceable little actioner. didn't try to do anything new with the genre, but what it did, it did quite entertainingly. i also like how arnold has transitioned into the "elder statesman" phase of his career with this role as a washed-up sheriff. it just clicks.

oh, and this had quite a bit of eye candy for the guys: jaimie alexander, genesis rodriguez and the girl who played waitress chrissie.

I have not seen Last Stand yet, but I will this afternoon. Since seeing the box office reports, I agree with this article. Arnold should have went the Stallone route. He should have made T5 or Conan first before making TLS. In fact, TLS should have been his third or fourth film. When I think of TLS, I think of his films like Raw Deal, Red Heat, or Collateral Damage. Those were for his fans.

In a way, Arnold is starting his movie career over again, and he needs to win over the younger audience who have no idea who he is. His name will not bring people to the theater anymore. It will get me there though. :wink1:

I do have a bad feeling about The Tomb and Ten. I for one can not wait to see Ten.

I am excited to see TLS and I am sure I will like it, because I am expecting a fun 80s movie. I just wish that T5 or Conan would have come out first.

I just hope we get Conan. I have wanted this ever since I saw him on the throne at the end of Barbarian.

I still am surprised though that Arnold fans didn't come out in droves to go see this.
Where was everybody?

I am going to assume he lost of lot of his audience as well because of the absence, and the controversy. I'm sure many people just lost respect for the guy.
Even though he screwed up, at least he finally came clean.
It just sucks that when celebs cheat or something, the whole world is watching and it's such a big thing.
Yet, this sort of behavious happens ALL the time, in our normal every day circles as well.

maybe because they know Arnold is a piece of trash in real life ;)

(I was a HUGE fan of arnold till I found out who he really stands for)

its a good time if you are drunk ! HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
love jer.

I will wait for it on Blu ray.

Go see it, man. It's a fun flick. I went in with low expectations and came out happy with the experience I'd just had. It's an Arnie movie through and through, and there's a certain charm to that; I liked it more than Gangster Squad.
