I finally got around to taking a pic of my art I picked up from ComiConArt.com by Iago Maia.

This picture doesn't do it justice.

This thread hasn't been seeing enough activity. Art is not dead, we all know that, so why is one of the coolest discussion threads dedicated to it slowly falling by the wayside?

This thread has times when postings are rapid fire and then it tapers off a bit till someone gets wind of something new. Don't worry it's still the coolest thread on here. Pretty soon you'll have a more than enough kitties to fill your face.

:lecture

Right now the thread moving on the down curve...but soon it'll hit it's stride again and away we goooooo! :rock

I certainly hope so. I'd post something, but everything I have that's worth a damn came from this thread and I'm just SO not into reposting stuff needlessly. I'm several thousand miles away from the U.S. right now, so my ability/capacity to get new or interesting material is somewhat hampered. If I COULD get new material to post here, believe me, I would do it in a heartbeat. So... while I'm dismayed that the thread seems to have taken a bit of a hiatus recently, I AM deeply appreciative for everyone who posts regularly to it!

arent there any artist that you like that we may not be aware of?

Daikken: Not really. I've always enjoyed Campbell. There's a soft spot in my heart for some of JAB's stuff, but he's a bit too risqué for this forum. ArtGerm's great. Benes is incredible. There's a LOT of artists who've been showcased here that I am drawn to (pun intended). As a soldier I haven't got a whole lot of money available to me, but I intensely envy a lot of the pieces that some of you lucky folks are fortunate enough to acquire and are graceful enough to share with us. I believe I mentioned in my first post here that I have a Kindle, which I've learned how to hack. A Kindle, by default, has images of famous authors that come up on the screen when you turn it off- Hemingway, Steinbeck, Emily Post, etc... well, I've been replacing those with a collection of pin-up art instead (I mean, who *wouldn't* want to see beautiful pieces of art on the covers of their books?). I've got more than 300 images that cycle through, but I'm always interested in getting more- as long as it's top-quality work, y'know? You guys invariably post exactly what I like, which is what keeps me coming back here every day to see what's new.
