Re: Art Books

I don't know if you can technically count them as art books, but I collect imported Tenjho Tenge mangas for the art alone. I know it has an American distribution (DC comics own manga section to be exact), but I've heard of the horrid visual edits they've made to them so I vowed to pay for the import on sheer principle alone.

Each volume has a lot of great pin up art that bridge each chapter and there's usually a full colored double sided poster in the front with concept sketch art in the back. If I could I'd post a bunch of images, but they're full of nudity and my internet sucks at uploading :/ So here's these:

Hey guys,

You're DC faithful back to show you another offering: DC Comics: The 75th Anniversary Poster Book

Here's the official write up:
Here are 100 of the most important, most incredible, and most bizarre comic-book covers from DC's incredible archives—all perforated and ready to display in your apartment, dorm room, or cubicle. From Action Comics #1 and Batman #1 to lesser-known heroes like Mister District Attorney, this oversized compilation features every major milestone in DC's extraordinary history: Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing, Watchmen, Fables, 100 Bullets, and much more.

On the reverse of each poster are images of related covers and entertaining commentary, often with remarks from the cover artists themselves. Complete with a foreword from longtime DC Comics veteran Paul Levitz, this amazing anthology is a must-have item for any comic-book fan.

I might be getting 2 of these as I think I'm going to want one to sit on my shelf and another to actually take images from and frame. I think they'll make excellent companions to some of my DC statues and stuff.
