I wonder if Rocket will be sold as a two pack with Groot or if it'll be one figure with a lower price point.

Groot will be awesome for sure, I would be interested to see him as well, him and Rocket, both have unique anatomy and it will be a break from just getting Human characters

The fact that Rocket and Groot will require new bodies means it will already bring their price up. Which makes it seem less likely they will be sold together, as a set.

Trying to avoid buying anymore Hot Toys but if they do the whole team I'll have to bit I think, just too much love for the GOTG comics to miss this opportunity. I would prefer the same costumes for all of them I think instead of the individual costumes.

But I'd also be happy with this:

what about the yellow prison jumpsuits? I'm more inclined for that if anything lol

That's what I'd like to see as well, but doubtful given they will probably have to rush it out. Perhaps they would offer a DX version later. They could use it as a trial run for a real hair Chewbacca.


I like the uniform look for the team, but Gamora's individual outfit is sexier, and would also be great for other bashes. I also like the color combination on RR's individual outfit. I'm sure if it comes down to one or the other it will be the team look. It makes more sense and there's an economy of scale from a manufacturing point.

Supposedly Thanos is in this movie. I wonder if HT will make the figure....

They are probably saving Thanos for Avengers 3 if anything.

The possibility of me having a GOTG display in the future is increasing everyday it seems

The whole existance of this movie just blows me away! I've been a huge fan of the Abnett and Lanning version and never would have dreamed of seeing these guys in a movie! To get these figures would be a dream come true. And if Nova (RR version) ever makes his way on screen that will be my number one of all time! I am happy with all of the movie versions so far except Drax for some reason. Just not the lean, blank-eyed version that I love from the comics. I can't really explain it, but I just picture him differently.

I felt the same way about Drax and there casting choice baffles me, but I must admit I'm not 100% let down since the rest make up for it and from what I've seen so far it's really not that bad

True, I really can't complain given the awesomeness of even having these guys on screen. I've never watched a trailer 10 times in a row before! Just blown away by this new one. Waiting on an announcement from Hot Toys!

He's not a main character so no figure will be made. Their using this to continue to set him up for Avengers 3.

The day it happens though I'll be ordering two asap, especially if he comes with an articulated Infinity Gauntlet.

To those wanting Rocket to have real fur I have a question,

If neither Hot Toys or Sideshow, with all their experience with 1:6 scale figures haven't yet found an adequate way of making a real fur Chewbacca that'll pass safety and QC tests then how do you expect them to do it on a figure that'll be so much smaller?

We've not even seen a real fur Chewbacca statue or Premium Format and those kind of products don't have articulation to add to the complications of the design process so expecting Rocket to be anything other than sculpted seems a bit unrealistic to me.
