We got a "backstage photo" for Captain America TWS too...looks like it was 3 days later that we saw the teaser for GA Cap. But then again the figures looked complete in that backstage pic where as in this one...not so much

And we got one of those with a bunch of figures over a year ago. We have some of those figures in hand (Storm Shadow, Roadblock, Iron Man, Banner) and some have yet to even be announced (Sleepy Hollow, Arkham City, Prometheus). So a WIP shot has no clear indication on when we might see full reveals.

Granted, this is Marvel Studios, so they're basically all ready right now

You bet they are. Knowing HT's need to cash the cow. They will be going all out on GOTG line.

I'm going to plead ignorance on this one...think I have only been around collecting long enough to see those two backstage photos. But like you said, this is marvel. I'm hoping for a teaser in a couple weeks.

Yeah I can't remember the last marvel backstage we saw that didn't get made. Part of me thinks Rhino could be the first in a long time unfortunately but I hope not.
I will be getting the set of these. Like others, I'm not a comic reader but really enjoy the movies.

They would be making loads of batmen, jokers and bat mobiles. We would have seen batman returns by now.

ohhh Taking a hard line with that one eh!
I wouldn't abandon the lineup over that but it would be disappointing
