Is Maleficent up for pre-order yet? I usually buy from SSC or BBTS, but last time I looked (on Mon, 6/23) I did not see it on either website

Also aside from being light on accessories, you're only really paying for the headsculpt. Take that away there isn't much to the figure. An all black robe figure. It's like the Agent Coulson figure or Black Widow. Take away the head and what do you have. At least they had more accessories, cooler, and they were way below $200. This would be my first figure out of my norm, besides my BD DX13. Although Disney does own Marvel.

Haha I was surprised when I suddenly realized that if you factor in Marvel and Star Wars…. a huge part of my collection is Disney.

I like the green magic effect, but the costume is completely unflattering. The original costume led the eye in a parallel fashion, with its purple accents. This looks like a gunny-sack. Not form-fitting, not even pretty. The robe should skim her figure, and the ragged edges added to the cool factor. THis is an easy pass, especially at this price-point.

I gotta agree about the costume. I hope they improve on the material they use to give it more of a natural flow.

I gotta say, one of the most impressive HS I have seen.

I havent seen the movie and all, but cmon her not having wings is a deal breaker? Be serious I don't think she needs the wings like lets say how Falcon needs his.

I wanted to watch the movie before being comfortable coming in here, & I watched it yesterday. One of HT's best likenesses, & now one of my most wanted HT figures, that are on pre order. I think I can handle this kind of pricing on a bare bones figure, if I get a likeness as impressive as this.

Nope. Not joking at all. I've never purchased from Sideshow previously as I collect a very different type of doll. I wonder how I can find out immediately when she will go up for pre-order so I don't miss out. Can you advise?

I don't think you'd have a problem trying to pre order her. I'm guessing supply will be plentiful. Expect to get her at the usual places like 'Sideshow Collectibles', 'BigBadToyStore' ..... etc.

Thought I posted here, now I realized that I wrote my post on the other Maleficent thread.

Anyway, one of the 2 official SSC/HT distributors here in the Philippines said on their FB page that Maleficent's having some licensing problems of some sort (not sure what issue in particular), thus the delay. What's weird is that a couple more local shops here (the shops that don't get their stocks direct from HT/SSC) opened POs for this (@ around $230) a few days after the proto pictures were launched. Not sure if these shops have also put their POs on hold though.
