Lucas says Grievous´coughing is a side effect of his new cyborg nature in the EPIII audio-commentary. Mace crushing Grievous´ chest was Genndy´s idea.

Grievous was designed as a precurser to Vader. He was supposed to be close, but not perfect mesh of man and machine.

I can't wait to see more of his *** kicking self in the new CW series.

And I really hope they focus a lot on Asajj in the new series as well as she as a great background story as to why she hates the Jedi so much.

yeah, they gave her a pretty good background in the anime, comics, and for some reason only a little bit of attention in the novels.

The brain, eyes and the upper body bits that went down the chute in TPM.

That would also explain his hatred of Jedi.

yeah i feel the same way, but remember reading somewhere that when they proposed this idea to uncle george he said hell for some reason. i think it would've been a great reveal for an adversary for obi wan.

Why would someone want a 5 foot tall (actually 2.5 at this point) Sith that got his *** whooped by a padawan to lead their army? That makes no sense.
