It seems that they are laughing at the collectors of LOTR.

When going to answer any questions from LOTR?

When you deign to answer something must fill the week with this line, because this is becoming embarrassing.

They're not laughing. Some of the folks posting here need to calm down. We're not gonna get news everyday and the way some are asking for it won't help either. Just sayin... :)

Totally agree Josh, but if they do want to be seen as a major collectible force when the hobbit hits they need to keep the interest of collectors...

I think we are being patient since October without any news.

Since February 2011 without any Preorder the Premium Format line and since October last year of the maquette line, I think we are rightly complaining and always with respect of course

Not expecting news everyday, but since the QA's started up again, not a single one has referred to LOTR. After months and months of absolutely no news - except a reminder that the RWOS PF will be making an appearance in the near future, which isn't really new at all, as we were already told the same thing in September/October - Sideshow should realize that their customers are getting antsy and reach out to reassure them. :gah:

Clearly this is the long discussed, previously sneaked Ringwraith on Steed PF. I am more interested in finding out when we'll see Gimli, Arwen and Sarumon in PF. It burns me that SS did those in 1:6 scale as opposed to first releasing them in the longer established PF scale. Same with Boromir.

With RWOS and Sauron in making I don't think there will be any new PF's soon. Much more important is to get news on the Maquette line which is one of Sideshow's best lines imo.

Hope I'm wrong, but I think Sauron will belong to the new line LSF, which would cost 2000 dollars, but like I said I hope to be wrong.

I like your news hope Boromir maquette line soon. Well to be honest I expect some news from LOTR seeing anything like this thing lately.

I agree, it's the only line i'm ordering from SS at the moment, and i'm eagerly awaiting news of Frodo/Sam and Merry/Pippin maquettes, as well as Eomer, hopefully a Mouth of Sauron on steed, and something we haven't seen before like a Fountain Guard, Rohirrim Royal Guard or a High Elven Warrior...

No, I just get tired of seeing the same 2-3 people everyday complaining we didn't get news that day. Heck, I see this bumped and I think someone has some news to share.

We have had a couple things. I know it's not a lot but it's better than nothing.

I do understand wanting more news and PO because there isn't a soul out there that wants it more than I. However , I go about it s eding stuff to SS and asking as nice as I can. I feel we have a better chance of getting what we want that way.

Finally! Some news!

Q: Hi Sideshow, since it has been almost a full calendar year since we have gotten Lord of the Rings Premium Format news, I thought I might need to remind you that people are very interested in this line! We know that some bigger items, like the Ringwraith on Steed and Sauron, are on the horizon, but what about offering some smaller items while we wait for those to be ready. How about some Hobbits? With the Hobbit film coming out in 2012 and 2013, it seems like a perfect time to release some Hobbit sized Premium Format figures. Samwise Gamgee would be great, as he is really one of the biggest heroes of the Lord of the Rings series. The hobbit costuming lends itself perfectly to the Premium Format line too. When might we see some Samwise the Brave being offered?

A: Yours truly has a similar love of Samwise, and in fact has dogs named Rosie and Sam. Testify! Consider me an agent, an agent on the inside, planting the seeds for a Samwise Premium Format. Sam has to tread lightly, and follow behind some other baddies and Fellows first… but yeah, we wants him too, [...]

Holy Hell, I think that is my question! Great news on Samwise, and glad to hear that he has to follow some other "fellows" and baddies first. The RWOS is due to be pre-ordered soon, and Sideshow has stated that Saruman was in the works for the Premium Format line some time ago, so hopefully Boromir and Gimli are en route too. I wouldn't want to presume that Merry and Pippin might beat the others into development, but if Merry and Pippin come through first, the others almost seem guaranteed!!

Great news, and I can't wait to see more news on the Sideshow Premium Format and Maquette licenses!!!:clap

Finally an answer answered on this line, which since September last year had spent time.

I hope that soon we unveil some of the maquette line.

Maybe my english is too bad, but imo the answers from Sideshow are long but without any meaning or clear information.
The only answer to all questions is basicly: "Yes we wants the statue, too blablabla". My interpretation on the Sam question is simple:
He won't be made soon. He will be made after some other fellowship members and bad guys but as there aren't any news on them it will take looooooong.

Correct me if I'm wrong, it's pretty tough to understand the mumbling (I don't get what he's talking about dogs and seeds)..

Boromir...Samwise is a gardener after all...guess the answerer is just making a reference to that...or the ideas about the Samwise PF are gardening related...which would be interesting.

We have two PFs one the way...the Ringwraith on Steed and the Sauron Legendary Scale as well as the 'rumored' Saruman...and to top this off...we have heard nothing yet from The Hobbit perspective...so who knows...

Boromir, Sideshow has a history of being a little vague when they have something in development, but they are usually much more clear when they state that something will not be happening. They likely can't make concrete news until things have passed a certain stage in development or have passed certain approvals from vendors, so that is why they speak in riddles sometime.

I read this as that Sam is early in design development, but we also have hints that other members of the Fellowship are in development, and will be ahead of Sam when it comes time to be offered for sale. That leaves the other two hobbits, and Boromir and Gimli. Either way, I would be ecstatic to get a chance to order another Lord of the Rings Fellowship member!!!:hi5:
