Wow, that’s not a good look for them! I agree it’s definitely getting harder to defend them with these types of actions. I have the deluxe set on pre-order with a UK seller…not heard anything about my order yet but I wonder now if that will be affected too.

They should send the new Gollum heads in place of the base instead of just the cap, that would at least be something.

Not saying that’s not accurate but let’s give this a little time before the pitch forks come out. We just ran into something similar with another company not long ago that turned out to be BS. Nothing said on FB and still up for order on their site.

I hope that it IS fake.
I truly feel bad for those who ordered the deluxe and got this bad news!

The English in that email is far too competent to officially come from Asmus.
They’re notorious perpetrators of using chingrish and even Crown Gandalf the Grey had typos and dreadful grammar galore throughout the packaging.
They even inaccurately quote dialogue from the movies.

All that considered, if would be perfectly fitting for Asmus to put more effort into delivering bad news than they do in making their figures.
