I think I'm done with my LOTR collection now. Just no room for any more characters!

Whatever happened to Asmus making additional head sculpts available for sale for their original Gollum and Smeagol figures? Didn't they even run polls so we could vote on which ones they actually make?

Did they ever come out?

Lol yeah, definitely NOT doing that! They do look awesome, but I'm happy enough with these Asmus figures in the collection.
Interesting news. I wonder how deep Sideshow's involvement will be in the development of these figures.
Am happy with Sideshow being involved; I like my mythos Obi-Wan a lot; and Gambit is due in tomorrow.

Sideshow figs I know have gotten complaints with loose joints etc. but they seem to do a nice job with the look, like the Jawas. Good sculpts too.

While my InArt Aragorn is fine (after the hair angst) there's enough that I find mildly irritating that I am interested in what ASMUS, Sideshow, or other might do in the future - if I'm dropping 500+ on a figure, which won't be often. Besides I've had good customer service with ASMUS and Sideshow both - I know not everyone has, but so far I've got a good track record, without a lot of fuss. Neither company sent me a pencil to fix an issue. :monkey3

So this is a new Gollum/Smeagal collabo, not and Asmus 2.0?
I’m confused too.

They appear to be very similar to the original Asmus figures but the head sculpts look better - am I imagining this? :lol

that green accessory looks new but no fish included like last time.

I just opened my Gollum/Smeagel 2-pack last month with the rock and water base.

I was afraid that Asmus toys had already forgotten about their idea of new facial expressions for these figures. Of course, I would rather buy extra heads than complete figures, but I don't think they will sell heads separately, since a full set is always a better deal. I just hope they won't make only one edition available [in my country], which includes both figures as a complete set.

Sounds like maybe Sideshow did the headsculpts on these and Asmus provided everything else given that they say the headsculpts have been crafted on the Asmus body?

The articulated Gollum/Sméagol Sixth Scale Figure has an incredibly detailed likeness crafted on Asmus Toys’ exclusive Gollum body, as well as a number of swap-out elements. A smirking Gollum portrait featuring rotatable eyeballs and synthetic hair elements brings dynamic posing and exciting storytelling potential to your shelf.

Just saw "Expected to ship: DEC 2024 - FEB 2025"
"Because it's my Birthday and I want it"! :ROFLMAO:
New Smeagol figure for my next BD in December... it's too cool.

Wouldn’t go that far.
Asmus had us all vote on which sculpts we wanted ages ago so I think they simply followed through with that plan.

The Gollum body is completely tailor-made by Asmus, just like their Adam 2.0 body, so I reckon they’re just reminding us all of that.

So, are they going to upgrade the body material so it doesn't change colour so drastically that everyone lashes out? lol. I haven't heard anything about the prior version being fixed, but I could have missed it in the sea of posts. Anyone have any personal experiences with the prior Gollum or heard of any fixes on the discolouring issues?
