Maybe if the throne was split in 2-3 parts, so most collectors could display only the seat, and those lucky with extra room could add the back giant stuff? Or do a partial throne, with the steps, the seat and part of the back piece. Definitely I think that any option that could have him sitting would be great.

I think the people who would want/use that throne would be an incredible small minority to people who would never use it. Even in 1/6 form it’s just not practical and would go to the ceiling in most rooms.
I agree. Just based on our fellow board members, very few seem to use the InArt TDK Joker dio b/c it's too big. Same thing happens when display stands are too tall. Just ends up being something that stays in the box.

The height of the Weta throne is 111cm / 44”
Jokers prison cell is like 40cm I think…

The only remotely viable option for the throne would be to cut it off near the centre break in the design and probably scale it down a bit to maybe 50cm / 20”

But even that is too large for most collectors and, if made of polystone- which you just know it will be- shipping goes through the roof (along with the rest of the price) and even fewer people have the shelving necessary to hold that degree of weight.

I could get onboard with a 50cm throne but I’m not sure if I want anything that huge.

I suggested the balcony to Asmus like a year+ ago. There isn’t much reference for it and Saruman would be mostly obscured standing behind it- but it could still be cool.

For me the best display is the plinth and Palantir.
The balcony is okay, but not one that would overly interest me.

The throne is awesome but just too large to be practical, like I said the Thranduil throne would be a more appropriate throne for them to make if they indeed make a throne.

It's a tricky one but I'd have to say go with the plinth and palantír. Remember, not everyone has the original figure (nor wants to hunt it down with a superior version on the horizon) so for those coming into collecting LOTR off the back of InArt or adding to their Asmus collection, Saruman with Palantír is essential, as nice as a scaled down throne would be. I guess if you offered a deluxe with the palantír and a version without, it would keep most people happy.

Yeah, I forgot how massive the throne was.

the Palantir is indeed the best accessory for sure, with some special hands for the pose he made.

A diorama base replicating the top of Orthanc (but not in scale, otherwise it would be massive) could be nice too, for a pose like when he is chanting to bring down Caradhras

Think we will get moving eyes with this one? Gandalf the white and Gray 2.0 dropped this feature.
If they don’t do moving eyes, a second expressive sculpt would be a welcome addition.

I see we are moving from one enormous infeasible diorama piece to another...
