Anytime there's first photos with that green grid background I ignore them....seems like initial photo guys go out of their way to take as terrible a picture as humanly possible....I have no doubts that aragorn will look good when he arrives. Oh and I also paid my invoice so I'm super stoked now!

I forgive you: lights, picture angle and lens distortion can change the perception of the sculpt.

This is the original sculpted hair head sculpt. Alwasy the same:

The paint, on the other hand, is different from promo image and real stuff.

Just pre-ordered the new rooted hair Boromir so hope it looks good but worried after seeing that rough ass Aragorn head!

I like that they have tried to upgrade the sword as well but it seems like a missed opportunity to not have altered the colour of the handle to the accurate green along with the scabbard - which too is incorrect in terms of colour, straps and shape.

The pouch and whetstone on the belt still appear to be plastic and the new boots look very disappointing. Can't quite tell but the cloak looks to be same and therefore wrong. His coat/jacket still has a sheen and looks very crumpled.

There were already many positives about this figure and it's a shame that Asmus could not step up and improve these smaller areas.

I love these films and I love this character but I still think ACI nailed the clothing and accessories but I will definitely agree that Asmus have produced a better headsculpt.

I agree on everything about Asmus figure, but to be fair ACI Strider sword and scabbard are blacker than ever, and both her and Anduril have oversemplified straps. SSC got that stuff better, although with now obsolete material and craftmanship.
