These pics have me somewhat concerned.

By the way, I double-checked the shipping notice from Asmus and it states,

"Aragorn Slim Ver. *1 + Aragorn Expansion Pack *1".

I assume it's the slim figure and the extra head sculpt. Cool!

I still haven't paid the invoice for this yet, as the initial pictures made me want to cancel my order, and I'm not exactly rushing to pay it now even after the slightly improved pics.

I'm in the same boat and I'm leaning towards cancelling. He looks awful in those latest pics.

They DIDN'T?

*Runs over to Toy Anxiety and buys extra Legolas cloak*

Mine should arrive today so I will know for sure but based on the pictures it looks like the thicker cloak. I would have thought they'd go with the newer thinner one to be consistent. If you get Legolas' remember there is the whole on it for the quiver.

Yeah, I figured I was going to put Aragorn's quiver on anyway (I just did some updates to my old sideshow one) so that part's no biggie. But thanks for the heads up :)

We'll see, if nothing else I'll just have an extra cloak. Probably not a bad idea with - ironically - how easy the leaves of lorien fall.

At work and I just received Strider. He's not bad, but he's not great.
The body feels like it's going to break but he can stand on his own.
The coat is a little thin, but you need it to be for movement.
The hair isn't that bad just clumped up, I shook out the glue and it looks better.
The head has the face glued on with that blue goo and he has no feet.

How do you make pictures smaller ?

Is there space in the boot for the foot to go and they just left it out? Or does the peg peg directly into the boot?

This head sculpt confuses the hell out of me. The top 2 pictures looks like he's been hitting a little too much of the pipe weed. Ya know what I'm saying? Hint hint nudge nudge. But the 3rd pic it looks pretty damn good to me. Guess I'll have to wait till I get mine to see how I feel about it.

He came straight from Asmus.
There is room for feet, the boot is hallow.
Don't know if there should be feet and I got short changed or that is the way they all come.
I don't think he is that bad.
I just need to get the hair unglued and glue his face back on.

It's the angle that I took the pictures.
The best shoot of the face is the 3rd one where it is detached.
I was messing with his head cause you could see where the face was attached
and it looked like he had a funny hair line then the face pooped off.

The absence of feet isn't surprising. That's pretty standard for figures with non-articulated ankles. There's generally a socket inside the bottom of the boot for it to plug into. Is there no socket?

Not a huge fan of the way Asmus builds some of their heads in pieces - hair, neck connector, face, etc. - but I guess that's the only way to make the hair work. That said, filling the head cavity with blue tack is a little surprising. Does the face at least snap on? Or is it just stuck on with the blue tack?

My main gripe with this sculpt, and it's one I've had from the beginning, is the lack of ears. Really limits what you can do with the hair.

That said, I'm pretty happy with what I'm seeing so far with this guy. Looks like the hair is going to take a fair amount of styling, but I was expecting that.

I have noticed that asmus has cut things before. Tauriel had no foot pegs and I don't know if they do this to preserve costs but it seems trivial and asinine to do so.

No socket, just a hallow boot.
He does have ears, their just buried in hair and glue.
