My second Arwen gets here tomorrow, and I found the coronation dress and tiara that came on the Barbie doll back in 2003/2004 separate on eBay. I know the tiara fits as I tried it on the Arwen I have, and it looks like the dress will work too! If not, my sister sews and should be able to help with any alterations.

The braids aren't visible from the front and Arwen has two pieces of hair pulled forward in this scene (albeit wavy) much like she did in the chase scene, so overall, I'm hoping this will look pretty good! Trying to brainstorm ideas to make the flag she carries as well.

I'd like to do the flag at some point, but haven't found the perfect way to accomplish that. In the meantime, here are a couple of shots of her in the tiara and dress. I'm actually pretty pleased with how she looks!

Coronation Arwen looks very nice. I may have to try to find a cheap set in case Asmus decides to produce Coronation Aragorn. I don't know if they'd release another Arwen.

I found out why -- taxes.

WB has stores in every state I guess, so it is free shipping but the taxes get you. For me, $14.92 in tax for LA. Ends up being $172 and change shipped.

Great job. I would buy it if it had released just like that. Hopefully they will do that in the new Crown series later.

Thank you so much for the kind words, everyone!! I'm really way happier with it than I thought I would be. Asmus really knocked the sculpt and paint out of the park with this one, in my opinion!! Glad to have two now, haha! I'm also just pumped with the pop of color it added to my Lord of the Rings Detolf. I ADORE the earth tones of most of the costumes in The Lord of the Rings (in fact, most of my own wardrobe is earth tones), but I always find adding a distinct color really exhilarating.

And I didn't even know that was a thing, haha! Definitely going to have to look into that!
