I'm getting this regardless because I can't pass on Vergil in any shape or form...but I hope they nail the sculpt.

It actually is. I read that they have been using real leather in their DMC line. They did with DMC4 Dante. Or at least that's what I have heard/read. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong though.if only the coat is made from real leather.

Leather is a frequently used material in designs for movie and video game characters, however, long has it existed a problem of short life spam. It is an inevitable fact that most of the synthetic leather will break and fall apart in 2~3 years due to the production necessity. And it has been a deal breaker for all 1/6th scaled action figures that are dressed in leather.
Asmus Toys has been aware of this problem, and in order to manufacture a long lasting collectible, we have decided to take action of costume making our own synthetic leather.
9 years ago, when we made Dante from Devil May Cry 4, we found a factory that was specialize in making synthetic leather, and it was then we had started working with the factory to develop a new type of synthetic leather that may sustain with intense playing and dressing, and will not fall apart. Till today, our 1/6th scaled Dante stands tall with its red leather coat in one piece.
At the production of 1/6th Aragorn figure in 2015, we took the experiment even further, went for a type of super thin synthetic leather with the same sustainability. This super thin leather helped to achieve the realism by scaled down a leather coat’s thickness into 1/6th scale. And so far, the coat is still in a very good shape.
Today, we are very proud to present you the Premium Leather of Asmus. It is thin as a paper but touches like a real leather, it is made in our 1/6th collectible figure clothing and promise will not fall apart in nature condition for at least 10 years.
This is Asmus Toys’ sincere dedication of pursuing best quality to the collectors, because you and our products both deserve it.
Lol you don’t even buy figures right?
Ah ok so yeah its a good durable leather material. Glad to know they are putting a lot of effort into this line. Definitely can't wait for vergil, I was playing DMC4SE and man he is amazing to play with. I hope to see news about a DMC5 in a few weeks as I'm going with some friends to E3. Fingers crossed it happens. It's not 100% real leather. It IS synthetic but leather is part of the composition. It's much better than the pleather most companies like HT use/used and supposedly won't flake. Asmus did a cut and tear test a while back and it seems pretty durable. I myself did the finger nail test on a part of the coat and it didn't tear or start flaking. It's a pretty damn good material
Here's the info Asmus has on their website about their "premium leather"

No he doesn't. He has no money and no job. He's a potato. No one is going to hire a potato

Oh if anything I will find out. Lol I will be very happy to see it happen. There's a supposed leak of E3 stuff and DMC5 is on there for the Sony conference....but I'm not getting my hopes up. No sir!
that's a cool looking sculpt! do you think he needs some kind of quiff? On the game and rendering, he has a smaller head kinda like a characters on a superhero comics, but I guess not many people would like that so they made it looked like a normal human. And do you think Asmus will use this head for Dante too? (except the hair of course) Or maybe a bit change of expression, like a smirk?
