Wow. Yeah there's no Kurt in those sculpts at all. Seems to be Asmus m.o. though: Release a Figure with a half-ass sculpt only to have them release a better one later where people will thank them for providing the option to "upgrade" for an extra $100. What a ******* joke. Starting to see through and tire of these tactics with this company. Thankfully this isn't a figure I'm dying to have on the shelf, so it's an easy pass for me. (SS was also an easy pass) Hopefully Asmus will stop playing these games and just get it right the first time for you guys. Maybe some day a quality company will tackle as release a quality Snake. But this ain't it.
Well said, Rzeznikk.

They always have trouble with likeness. I mean, they have the official license for Escape from New York.. I think they should stop trying to cut cost and start hiring A list sculptor like KA Kim for their official licensed figures. This would be a game changer, imagine Kim's sculpt on Snake, Ash, and Ace!

To this day, I think asmus had their best likeness on their ringwraiths.
Otherwise they should just stick to figures that don't require good likeness, such as their anime figures like Yuyu Hakusho (they look amazing).. I even have their Girl Crush Kibitsu Momoko figure and it's a fantastic figure. Credit where credit is due.

In the case of LOTR, they should focus on characters that don't need good likeness like the orcs, Uruk Hai, Sauron, and the Oathbreakers. They made fantastic Grisnakh and Mouth of Sauron. They should keep doing those monsters.

Aside from likeness, as you said, asmus should stop playing those games, stop cutting corners and other shady practices, and they will be a decent company.

Something tells me asmus is going to just settle for their first try head on this one, which honestly doesn't look better (or worse) than the finished prototype version. Take away the eye patch and test the likeness that way.

That looks awesome! I have the Sideshow one, but would still get this. I would actually buy a L.A. version as well. The movie sucked, but his long coat and dual pistols was a cool look.
