I've been giving them the benefit of the doubt but I'm crazy close to canceling again. What absurd amount is this to ship?

Wonderful!

I've replied to him/her there as well, just to confirm about Henrietta. Let's see how they respond to that. :)

Given all the warranted posts/replies ranging from rightfully critical to outright ribbing (but still warranted), I'm trying to be objective and give them a benefit of a doubt even though past experiences and instances about @$mu$ tell me otherwise.

Let's see how they further address it. If they choose to.

I haven't checked their Facebook page, but I wonder if there are posts/replies just as critical there than here even though @$mu$ can delete such comments with absolute impunity along with blocking those posting such comments?

Man,
I've been brutally attacked by asmus loyalists in the Arwen thread, and even then I am still trying to be objective as you can read in my posts here.
Asmus has many many times being shady by not delivering what they promised, and still, we are giving them the benefit of a doubt.

You can see my post in the "asmus customer support not answering back" thread, I politely asked if the Henrietta pics from george in this thread is the actual mass production piece that the customers will be receiving?
If he said yes, then it's simple.. when the item arrived, and Henrietta doesn't look like that/as promised.. then just like what asmus has stated themselves in this thread.. they will, and HAVE TO replace it with the exact same piece as pictured by george. ;)

Truth be told (unlike @$mu$), I'm not really giving them a benefit of a doubt. I posted that in an attempt to appear fair.

You know.

Like @$mu$ posting the Henrietta pictures with the realistic likelihood and probability that what collectors receive will look absolutely nothing like it.

If I'm proven wrong, then fine.

For transparency, the only 1:6 product I own from @$mu$ is Eoywn (battle costume). It was okay for the time.

I wanted to buy Arwen and Galadriel too, but what was produced was disappointing.

The same goes for Tauriel from The Hobbit. She too was disappointing when released.

@$mu$ is one 1:6 brand/manufacturer I avoid and actually wish upon other 1:6 collectors I don't care for.

;) :p

@$mu$ supposedly addressing issues with Ash reminds me of when the company behind the Hot Pockets frozen sandwiches made an announcement a few years ago they'll make Hot Pockets better than before. That's admitting they apparently knew Hot Pockets had issues and finally decided to address them (supposedly)?

We have to remember…this is the company that all but promised to raise the bar on licensed 1/6 scale figures with Crown Gandalf and then released it with a Wizard hat that could not be worn by the actual figure.
Should anything happening here really be surprising.
Emperor’s New Clothes…

My suggestion: do not buy the luxury edition Arwen. Not worth the money. They charge more than Hot Toys Gamora, but deliver something way waaaay below that. If you really want Arwen, stick with the regular edition. You'll have Arwen and the nice artbox.

As for Tauriel.. I can't say anything more about that piece. It's the worst figure I've ever own, and I sold it as soon as I receive it and see the final product.
I mean.. just look at this:

After Arwen, I never preordered or buy any of their figures anymore.

The same was said about Molecule8.

<CRICKETS>

I wonder if anyone from Molecule8 made their way to @$mu$?

and don't forget the wizard's staff.
Some has the pipehole.. many don't.
When asked, their response is "it's easy to make the hole in the staff yourself, we can give you a simple direction to do it".

So basically asmus is an education company, teaching us to DIY.
How to make a hole in Gandalf's staff and repair his hat.
How to add hair to Henrietta.
How to slap stickers to base and box of Ash Willams.

I'm going to use myself as an example.

Years ago I was a very overzealous loyal defender and supporter of Triad Toys. At the time, I believed in the company, purchased virtually all of their 1:6 offerings, and enjoy what I purchased.

At the time, I and other like minded collectors defended and explained a number of production design and quality issues where a number of DIY fixes/solutions were needed.

After a while, the writing on wall was becoming more and more clearer and evident where many could no longer excuse it and justify it. Eventually, it was my turn.

I look back on it and view it as a learning moment. An embarrassing and expensive one at that.

So there.

Never again.

Lesson learned, wisdom achieved.
Man, I wish you're in the Arwen thread when the loyalist keep defending what asmus did.

Oh and btw, the customer rep in the "Asmus customer support not answering back" thread didn't respond to my post.
I guess the title of that thread says it all.

After many years in the 1:6 hobby, I try to avoid "drama" as much as possible through many hard experiences/lessons.

Of course, an occasional foray once in a while where it is relevant is okay.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply!

In the Evil Dead 2 thread, your friend from asmus (george) posted this pic of Henrietta production sample.
Can you confirm that this is the Henrietta that all of the customers will receive, with this exact details on the paintjob and hair?

Yes,
this is from one of the 6 packs we opened

Check now. They just replied, said the Henrietta pic was from one of the 6 they opened and checked.
