Looks pretty solid. Likeness I thin is just a touch off but he looks pretty cool none the less.

I agree, the stitching detail is awesome, but way too dark. On the real costume they are almost white. If they fix it or not... it doesn't matter I am all aboard!

So this orc head... do you think that future figures will come with various parts to assemble your own full character?

I need to think long and hard about if I want to branch my 1/6 collection into a LOTR direction. I bought the witch king, which I love! If Asmus keeps this up I may just keep on buying.

I noticed the cloak is missing the pattern on the edges in the front.

Add that, fix the color of the stitching on the vest, and lighten the hair and the figure will look even better.

I don't give a damn if the stitching is a little dark. But I'm thinking it's probably darker because at 1/6th. scale the detail would be lost if it was "correct". The smaller you get the more sharp the contrast to keep things from all blending together.

Looks great. Likeness is Pretty good, and I'm surprised it's this good from ASMUS. It's probably the best Gandalf likeness I've seen other than the GTG Premium Format figure.

Really excited to see how Aragorn/Strider turns out.

Who knows when we will see this though. With no word on Gothmog It could be awhile.

"a little dark" :lol The actual costume is no where near that dark.

There are lighter colors they could use if the texture showing up at 1:6 is an issue (it shouldn't be with that amount of stitching). They didn't need to go that dark.

Of coarse it could be something they did just for the prototype and they'll change it in production.

Looks fantastic!
I'd rather get a Saruman first, but this looks very impressive.
Agreed on the stitching and hair/beard, they need to be lighter.

He is gonna look great posed by the Witch King. I was considering canceling Gothmog due to the recent onslaught of Hot Toys figure releases but these pics have re-energized my enthusiasm for this line and I think I'll be all-in.

:exactly: These figures are looking great. Witch-King despite it's problems was a very well done figure. Gothmog looks awesome, so does Gandalf. WE need to support this line so we get more characters.

Also, the prices are pretty good on these provided that they do not rise too much.

I'm hoping for a Sauron 1/6.

I don't recall the company but someone posted a link on FB. Gandalf will be same price as the Witch King and Gothmog. Asmust spokesman also more or less confirmed a Lurtz figure.

I've only gotten into LOTR very recently and it looks like I timed it well.

Asmus have made a great start to their 1:6 line and whilst there's always room for improvement everything I've seen so far looks top notch especially for the pricepoint.
