The Y stand is best to use in Samurai figures because it can be insert into the pants and placed between the crotch, it is barely visible when standing up

The Crazy Owners Kojiro looks good, but I like this one more, because of the fabric, it has a lot of details and the non-doll hair sculpt.

Mine arrived yesterday. Overall VERY happy with it.

Minor nitpicks - the supports on the sandle are misplaced (at least on mine) meaning he can't stand unassisted if wearing them. Probably will swap for some other sandles to correct this.

The sculpt is a bit undersized. Not drastically so but it is noticable. I plant to get a second to use for Tasslehoff Burfoot (it works well on the hobbit body).

Also there isn't a wakizashi or short sword. Would have been nice to have.

Sword - the handle is nice, but the blade is a bit lacking in detail. I suppose I'm spoilt with the mononofu blades, and I did an upgrade on my Crazy Owners Sasaki (there was a series called Shin Kenki that included both Musashi's and Kojiro's swords)

Good points - paint and detail on the sculpt is excellent.

Body is pretty good - I had to swap out Musashi, this is an improvement.

Outfit is perfect. after a bit of futzing it sat really well.

thx man,

The sandles is a new try, we realized that it may be hard to stand on it, so we put in a stand to help standing~

As for the blade, I own the whole set of series 1 Shin Kenki, the details are amazing... but our sword is made by standless steel~ so it is hard and if you sharpen it, it can be a real knife ~ :nana:

Overall, thank you for enjoying our figure, we are going to focus on Samurai and other JP warriors in 2012, and we promise to keep improve and making good figures, most importantly, we will push our price down to make everyone affordable~ thx

I have all the Shin Kenki swords as well - not cheap but definitely a nice upgrade if you can get them. I do upgrades to alot of my figures - I managed to snag Feng's Musashi heads so have upgrade both my Masushi figures with them. Usually I do body swaps to Truetypes as well, and swap the feet over to sculpted sandle feet, just cos it stands a bit better.

My samurai collection is growing slowly - there is Jubei coming out shortly from Triad (https://www.triadtoys.com/Preorders/JUBEI+YAGYU+MITSUYO_____12+INCH+FIGURE.html) and hopefully the Lone Cub stuff won't be too far behind, and The Last Samurai stuff from Crazy Owners coming out soon too. I am only missing one of the DID samurai.

Any hints as to what we can look forward to ? I was hoping someone would do a Benkei figure ;-)

Also any chance of purchasing just a sasaki head direct from you guys ?

Feel free to PM me if thats an option. Saves me buying a whole figure for just the head as I don't see it being parted out anywhere ;-p

I'm waiting for mine now. It is good to see samurai figures being produced. I'm still catching up on my Alfrex collection as well.

Hmmm - i have a couple, unfortunately the quality doesn't stand up to current figures imho, and the price is off the charts.

Definitely scope for someone to do The Seven Samurai for example ;-)

Also wouldn't mind a Sho Koshugi or Sonny Chiba.

Very true about the Alfrex figures. I still have a passion for them, but I wish another company would make updated versions of my favorite Samurai actors.

I really doubt anyone would put out another 7 samurai set, and with the way prices are now, the cost would be enormous. I have the alfrex lone wolf and cub and the seven samurai with the power up set. The sculpts are dead on, they just need better paints apps. What still is incredible on the old alfrex figs is the gear and clothes. MASS attention to detail.

Just in case some of you havent visited my site on 1/6 samurai figs, its https://samuraiinonesix.wordpress.com/
