I'm glad I preordered it.

Also it's nice that they keep improving upon it. That won't last forever -- never does -- but it's a wonderful thing when a new company is growing into the fray and still has its roots in the love of the hobby.

Well, I would've wished for a taller Witch King of Angmar, but it doesn't look bad.
I think Asmus chose the wrong figure to compare the height. It's hard to forget that Ben Stiller is really tiny, which I unconsciously translate to the figure.

While everyone is concerned with the human likenesses, I am hopeful that they understand the need to get them right. If they NAIL the first one out the gates...we are in for a truly fantastic ride!

I think your concern, should the clothing end up still not into your liking, is an easy fix without having to spend extra so it could look better. I myself love doing weathering or sewing figures' clothing to suit my tastes However, I think ASMUS got it right.


Isn't it refreshing to see a thread where nobody's talking about doing costly mods on a figure that already costs good money? The fact that it happens on threads of $250+ figures!

Well, I would've wished for a taller Witch King of Angmar, but it doesn't look bad.

Nazgul are supposed to be nine feet tall, is that right? That would make him 18 inches... maybe stunning in sheer size but a real problem for fitting in a detolf or similar display.

I think with a little futzing (raise the boots, straighten the body, extend the neck to 11) you could get another inch in height out of it.

Technically they have no height since they are without form... but I think 7 feet in 1:6 is more practical than 9 feet. But I am reasonably sure they were the same height as a typical man. They weren't giants.

According to what I've seen a couple places the theory is that the Witch-king is 7 feet tall.

According to Toliken Gateway (I have no idea how reliable they are) Nazgul were "man high"... Which I guess could mean anywhere from 5 feet to 7 feet. I certainly wouldn't classify 9 feet as man height.

Exactly. Remember they rode horses in the FOTR. Also when Aragorn fought them they were all pretty equal in size.

No, no, no a company of eagles would have been seen and intercepted by the nazgul on their fellbeasts BUT a company of nine moths might have been able to sneak past unnoticed and deposit the ring in the mountain of fire. The only warning Sauron would have is the sound of choir boys.







That is probably why Tolkien does not mention any moths in Middle Earth. They would have rendered the quest unnecessary. Leave it to the studios to create plot holes.

What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen moth? How many moths would it take to carry the ring? It got heavier for Frodo the closer he got to Mt Doom.
