We have the usual month from overseas release (September) until release here in the states (means early October).

Unless they are doing something about that body now....

If you look at Asmus' sculpts they're not really perfect. The Aragorn figure might give us some nice parts to bash with our SS version though. At least Gimli and Gandalf (hoping for White) with have the beards to obscure their likeness a bit.

Hey, Mags. Did you ever see my Gandalf all finished up? I know you were on hiatus for some time.

The Sideshow sculpt on Aragorn is pretty awful though. An improvement seems likely.

I may have seen your Gandalf. Repaint by Skiman?

Link?

I added a bit more padding around the waist and swapped that threaded belt with the 12" Toy Biz version after these shots were taken. I also dremeled out the hat even more.

I think the one thing that is preventing this from being perfect is that the sculpted hair hangs too long around the shoulders. This prevents me from sitting the head as low as it should be.

I was hoping for different choices than Gimli and Gandalf, but Gimli is in need of a 1/6 scale figure.

Now, Asmus's human sculpts for previous figures haven't been that good, but I could be mistaken, but doesn't WETA have to approve the figures? I wouldn't be surprised if WETA is helping Asmus, Unofficially.

I've just received and opened mine. I'm impressed...the metal parts are awesome, the overall figure is a really solid piece. Also he's got a hi-end packaging (except for the poor instructions). My only real letdown is the scabbard...really cheap.

Also I think there's something strange with the belt and the scabbard holder...someone have some reference pictures about it?
I mean, these were the promo pics:

No belt buckle, clean end.

And this is what we got:
Belt buckle and scabbard holder attached to belt end.

It's great that Asmus partnered with KP, they usually have real metal and wood accessories if I remember right.

Problem is I think it's them who supplied the Body. Italians...;)

I have one on order still and dont have yet. I just was posting the review for the forum. This one is grail MUST HAVE for me and a lot of others i bet ,cant wait to get him.

My scabbard hangs as per the promo, just slide the loops up and down till they sit right

As much as I like this figure (can't wait to receive mine), this pic proves that he is on a standart KP body. KP3 are a bit loose at the chest articulation (floppy for lack of a better word). I can imagine the tape is needed for the Witch-King who is quite top heavy.

I bought a few their muscular bodies for customs and those have the exact same height. I feel the difference in this pic is nothing more than bigger heels and extended ankle pegs. Compare the knee and shoulder height differences, everything is in the boots. Isn't the Witch-King supposed to be huge, more than man-size?

Would really be lame if Gothmog turns out the be the same size as the Morgul Lord. Then again if their Aragorn is slightly smaller thab SS and Gimli has the same quality I am not complaining.
