Ok upon like a zillion viewings of the trailer in 1080P HD, I have to say, I am impressed and going to be impressed. CGI fest or not. It is amazing.
And I can see that I will get into these characters. I like that female warrior already!
Cameron is bringing us to a whole new world. Pandora.
I'm pumped now!

Alien or not, I wouldn't mind inter-breeding with her.

People allow themselves to be over hyped about things, then say things are a failure without having seen them yet. This is why the internet has ruined television/movie production... opinions are formed, passed around, spread out.. and people choose not to see something based on nothing real.

For that reason decent TV programs get cancelled because people decided they were rubbish before they'd seen them. Because "that's what the internet said"

This is a film. It's a few hours. Be entertained. Or don't.

But please stop picking over a few seconds of trailer and acting like you've been personally let down some way

This is really my first look at the film, so I can say I'm thrilled or disappointed, one way or another. The director and visual style are certainly reason enough for me to want to see it, though.

It never ceases to amaze me how ridiculous people sound on this forum. Did anyone REALLY expect to see ground breaking tech in a 2 minute trailer on their 20" pc screen? Seriuosly? Deciding anything is a 'fail' based on a 2 minute teaser is a fail itself

You tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is 'never try'.

Trying is the first step toward failure.

Cameron is trying to push the boundaries in what can be done.
Even if he fails, the movie making world is moving forward and not stagnating

I am not the blind faithful you dingus. I am not saying it will be a good movie. I am going based purely on the CGI and the trailer. That's all I can go based on as of now. The movie could suck balls for all I know. Besides, I am having a fun time giving Wofford a hard time... that is all.

Anyway, I simply don't agree with those who say the CGI is weak. Again, this movie could be horrible beyond the telling of it. So I don't get why your panties are in a twist.
