he does look better

I do not want to risk acting ability for proportions when he was going to be mo-cap all along. That is why they only showed the face in Avengers.

That concept is not what he actually looked like in avengers one, he looked like that actor with purple skin and a wrinkled chin. I liked the guardians one much better. Especially with Brolin in the role. They will refine his cg. Brolin was cast less than 2 months ago. So that means very minimal time went in to thanos in GotG. Have faith my friends, I guarantee when Avengers 3 rolls around, we will all feel the presence of thanos.

Ditto, he seems like a good actor.

I never heard of him before this thanos business in 2012. I'm a HUGE movie buff, and I hadn't heard of this guy. A roll in Jar head is his biggest acting credit in imdb. Besides that he is a stuntman.

To trust a stunt man with a highly needy role like Thanos... That is not what I'd like to see. Not one bit.

If you know Thanos' orgin, you know it will take a good actor like Brolin to bring the character to life.

Brolin killed it. Very spooky presence as Thanos.

Whedon better keep his **** wired tight on this one. GotG has arrived.

I loved Guardians. Made top 3. It was much funnier than Avengers. But... I still have avengers ranked higher.

Seeing as Joss has said in multiple interviews, he directed Avengers so that he could direct Avengers 2. I have exceedingly high expectations for Age of Ultron, and feel like I won't be let down.

Unfortunately, a guardians bumped a iron man off my list. I liked iron man so much because of its sound track and comedy aspects. But Guardians took the cinematic cake in those categories. (For any movie, let alone a MCU film)

I never heard of him either, but that video shows he's not helpless.

Besides if Thanos was going to be CGI'd, that would have helped his performance if he so needed.

I could argue that Hermsworth had no merits to be cast as Thor, but he turned out a serviceable Thor, though if you ask me, he's not a miscast per say, but the part could have been better filled.

I'm only agreeing with Dfanatic in that they should have given him a chance, I don't like recasts most times to begin with.

And I'm only expressing what I think of what I know, as of now, old Thanos looks much better than Brolin Thanos.

I haven't seen GotG and only seen what's online of Thanos.

So I hope to be proved wrong and Thanos ends up looking better.

I have no doubts about Brolin's acting skills though, that's out of the question.

Guardians is top 5 for me.

1 Avengers
2 Cap2
3 IronMan I
4 GOTG
5 Thor 2

Loved Brolin as Thanos. Going to be so epic. I sat there thinking....how in the hell are they going to beat this guy in A3? For those saying that Marvel has avoiding developing villains...um the big baddies (ultron, thanos, Loki) deserve much more development, rightfully, than guys like Ronan, Maliketh, whiplash, etc.

Thanos is going to kill a few avengers. Book it.

Well, at least we know Red Skull, we know his motivations and personality and they kept him fairly grounded to his comic counterpart.

Malekith completely lost his identity, he was just a random power ranger villain :monkey2

Lol. Truth. I really liked Ronin. Even though he was fairly under developed.

Ronan's motives were very clear. He's a warmonger on a holy crusade to cleanse the galaxy of all that he deems unworthy. He did kinda talk about it in his first appearance as well as right before he spoke to Thanos both times. But I do wish we got to see more of the Kree Empire. Ronan is basically a crazy Judge Dredd. That's why they call him The Accuser. I wasn't a fan of what his fate ended up being though. Was Lee Pace signed on for any more movies? I was REALLY hoping to hear a mention of Mar-Vell as well.

That would have been ideal but I think they were just testing the alien mythology out on the audiences, you can expect them to maybe flesh it out more on Agents of Shield as well as the movies, I think

Probably a fake

Civil War would never happen since MCU Tony would never take the pro reg side. Plus, Spidey and all the other characters played a big role so it wouldn't work. And IMO, Civil war may be the worst event Marvel has come up with, even more than Age of Ultron. Maybe Phase 7 or 8 if anything.

Yeah, and oddly enough there's an interview with guy on CBM right now. Says he might play another Marvel character.
