Cripes! Avengers made $207 opening weekend??

OK AOU easily $240-250 all time record ..Might be Marvel's last big big hoorah...
I just don't think comic book movies can contuinue to dominate but who can say?

AOU WLL beat box office of Ep VII

If AOU is a great film..(I'm hoping it will be even better an Avengers).. it may head toward an all time record- I can see $700 million plus to top Titanic

Sometimes it's like producers meeting here...

Nope, studio boss here. :lol

Here's what AoU is up against.

1. Avatar - $2,788.0B Worldwide $760.5M Domestic $2,027.5B Foreign
2. Titanic - $2,186.8B Worldwide $658.7M Domestic $1,528.1B Foreign
3. Marvel's The Avengers - $1,518.6B Worldwide $623.4M Domestic $895.2M Foreign

Those Avatar figures, especially the foreign BO, which almost exceeded Titanic's total haul, are mind-boggling. :google People couldn't get enough of that friggin' movie. :lol

I'm a huge Marvel fan, way bigger fan than Star Wars, but I still think ep7 will beat AOU on opening weekend numbers, but AOU will beat it in Overall box office

The Marvel Cinematic Universe will win the box office in 2015 regardless of which film makes more money. They have AOU and Ant Man, both in the same universe, so Marvel will win the Box Office, and that doesn't count the other studio Marvel films, but those are not Disney/Marvel.

Yeah, I believe it is. Expectations are usually unrealistic. $2B is tough, but $1.75B is very possible.

If AoU makes less than the first one, at least one person's job will be on the line. :lol

I can't imagine this not pulling down similar numbers to the first. From what we've seen and read about this movie, its going to be one of those epic sequels to a huge story. I dont want to call it a trilogy since part 3 is split in two, but this will be like Empire, or TDK or bigger in terms of its success.
