He sounded almost exactly like Armie Hammer in The Man of U.N.C.L.E. trailer. It sounds extremely fake and overdone in my opinion.

Sounded like a cool, slav bro to me from that half a second line that-should-not be over analyzed.

Quick-Ass might be the best Quicksilver yet.

I keep on underestimating these dudes. When I first saw what Quicksilver looked like for DOFP, I thought for sure he was going to suck and act ridiculous. I loled hard at that cheeseburger commercial that features him and was convinced it was going to be bad. Then I saw the movie . . . and Quicksilver ended up being the best part. I know a movie has me if I'm sitting there with a dumb, goofy grin on my face, which I undoubtedly had during the Time in a Bottle sequence.

Now for Avengers 2, I've felt the same way. I thought Kick Ass was a lame choice, especially after seeing Godzilla. When I saw the behind the scenes shots of this movie, I figured he was just going to be a lame, wooden, Nike ad bro with no character. Now the more I see (and hear), the more I'm beginning to come around. Accent is fine, the "tude" is great. I expect good things.

I liked that character tv spot more than the last trailer.

Yea, as of right now I'm most interested to see what he does in the film. I was almost sure he was going to be lame, but I'm liking the cocky attitude.

I agree. I thought he was going to be another Hawkeye situation where he's just shoehorned in because he's "supposed" to be, but is kind of unnecessary and forgettable (even though Hawkeye was important for Avengers, they could have made any character do the things he did and no one would care any more or less). But from what little we're seeing they're trying to give him personality and a distinctive cultural background that we don't see a lot of in movies like this. Makes me more interested in the film as a whole.

It's terribly fake for sure, not a bad thing tho.
MCU can be OTT and cheesy in a good way, that's why I like it.

We had this already:

Accent and looks were hillariously unrealistic, but the character was fun to watch.

Also, Black Widow's accent in "The Avengers" was funny as hell.
Also, there's no such name as Romanoff.

I remember when Burdman was a meme for a couple of months. Seems like just yesterday.

Boy do I agree with on the Haweye thing. Such a terribly bland portrayal and costume design. Its also a mis-use of a very solid actor.

Movie Hawkeye is a lame-o.

They accent is great. Sounds fine from a lot of Eastern European films Ive seen lately.

Well, Romanoff is the English version while Romanov is the accurate name. My last name could be a synonym with broom in french, so they exist bro. :lol

I love that Cap and Thor combo! :rock

What if The Avengers Had Been Made in 1985... - IGN

I gotta say Michael J Fox as Spider-Man would be Epic with a capital "E"!
and get Chris Lloyd to play Doc Ock ,Crispin Glover as Goblin and Biff as Sandman Oh man.
directed by Zemeckis

Gotta go with Kurt Russell as Cap however.
Cruise as Hawkeye, damn.

:lol That was pretty good! Never considered Burt for Iron Man because that wise-ass interpretation is more as a result of RDJ, but now thinking about it, it would work. I would have said Tom Selleck, though.

Romanoff is the English version while Romanov is the accurate name.
It's Romanova, since Russian fem last names has different pronunciation and writing.
Sorry but "English version" doesn't work on any possible level of logic. :lol
It is my understanding that "Romanoff" was her nickname in CB.

I would have said Tom Selleck, though.
:exactly: Selleck is a much more fitting casting.

Also Swayze as Cap and Pfeiffer as Tasha sounds terrible...

:goodpost:

Yep, an "a" is added to the surnames of women, like Maria Sharapova. And if anyone should know, it's a guy from Russia, right? :lol

Next thing you'll tell me is that there is no such name as Badenov. And shouldn't that say "I am not spy" to go along with the hyperbolic accent?
