:lol

I've read reviews on IGN that I thought were rather ridiculous. Both for video games and movies. They've complained that there was too much/too little action, too much humor, etc.

Really? :lol which game? I've seen worse, there are reviews where they might as well say "It's not CoD so we hate it".

A Pokemon game that came out in 2014. That's why if you go to IGN facebook page and look at the comments of most of their reviews, you'll see that people write 7.8 or "too much water" jokes. Like in their Mortal Kombat 10 review, some people wrote, "7.8 -Sub Zero's ice melts and it turns into too much water" :lol

AGE OF ULTRON is a deeper, more complex movie than AVENGERS. The reviews won't be as ecstatic as a result. That's ok.

I have mixed feelings about this movie, first off the trailers make it ominous, but I don't know if it's too much. Who knows, I got six reserved ticketing already...

I still feel like I won't be really excited until I'm sat in the cinema. This long hype period, which included the announcement of Avengers 3 and 4 (and Cap: Civil War), has possibly done the opposite of what it was supposed to do and made me feel like I've already seen AoU and that it's already insignificant - because Thanos.

I can see that happening to me too, with BvS and other superhero movies too, hype is out of control

The whole thing, without revealing what does or does not occur, feels like a would-be darker, more emotionally draining sequel that feels sapped of its trauma and impact, and thus sapped of its relevance to the ongoing story it is telling. It’s not a direct comparison, but it plays a little like the theatrical cut of Batman Forever after WB stripped the film of its darker undertones and more reflective moments in a bid not to scare off any pint-sized fans.

:lol compared to batman forever lol

Interesting, two of the reviews I read including the Forbes seem to fault this film for not "wowing" with something new. As if a team up on this scale was somehow mundane. None seem to be written by a fan of the genre, simple knitpicks and even the "but we've seen this before" attitude is probably not going to play the same with audiences. Should be interesting to see actual reviews from moviegoers who aren't trying to make themselves look more refined than they are writing about a comic book film :lol

Personally I kind agree.

It was kinda like TDKR. Quite a bit of stuffs they try to put seems a bit forced this time around. A few loopholes too.
