Went to see it a second time tonight, still found it enjoyable. It's no Guardians of the Galaxy (my favorite Marvel movie) but on par with the first Avengers for me.

Just because the original director gave it the thumbs up, doesn't mean it's exempt from going against the spirit and influence behind the original creation (and even its subsequent films/books).

I should mention that I'm not randomly hating on Jurassic World, I had fun watching the first trailer just as much as everyone, being an old Jurassic Park fan myself. It was only after I actually bothered to think about it more and how it fit into the big picture of Jurassic Park's conception and influence on society as a whole did I realize that it was poorly thought-out in concept and presentation. It had the chance to be the new Jurassic Park of its time, instead it's more like a nostalgia-fest that utterly ignores the very reasons that made Jurassic Park so influential.

I'd elaborate on my disappointment over it a bit more but this is the AOU thread so I'll stop from derailing it.

tl;dr

Sounds like every other creative person ever. I'd be concerned if he saw it and didn't see room for improvement.

he keeps blaming everything on other people, he is saying it was Marvel's fault,
but Alien 4 was the Studio's fault, and every time something bad about his projects comes out, Oh Look, It was someone else's fault!

It was off pace in a lot of areas they do not need to mention the other movies so often and bring in the cameos it'd distracting.

And marvel needs something else the beside alien /robot invasion and inter team conflict . Civil war will be the third time we see heroes fight against each other.

Frankly I would love to see an ultimates version it's like the adult version of these movies.

Being based off the Ultimate universe doesn't make it more adult. Besides who wants to see a movie where all the Avengers are absolute dicks to each other all the time? Cannibalistic rapist Hulk? They turned Hank into the worst pile of scum ever and people think 616 Hank is bad. Also was not a fan of incestuous Pietro and Wanda either. The only series that was actually cool to me was Ultimate Spider-Man; now that's how you jumpstart a character while keeping the essence of what makes him so beloved. I love how the Steve Rogers of the MCU is basically written like 616 Steve with the aesthetic of Ultimate Steve.

But that's how I think of these movies.

I felt the movie redid a lot of the same things as the first it had a lot similar elements. Well ultimates would be to tough of a sell but I liked a lot of elements in that story.

civil war is supposed to be a more mature story so I am hoping for something other the mindless robots or a lines to fight against.

It's unfortunate that the only team they can fight against is themselves.

No secret there was a marriage break up behind the scenes that started last year, especially after Wright walked off Ant-Man and JW said Marvel made a big mistake.

Next thing we know, TWS was a good enough box office success that Marvel announced that the Russo bros were taking over....well....everything!

Remember when JW was sold to us as the in charge guy for the entire universe.

It was nice knowing you, thanks for 2 great movies.

Before he goes we'll get our directors cut on dvd.

Maybe money will fix their problems, who knows.

Money would certainly fix all of mine.

Those people on Twitter need to get a life. There was nothing sexist at all about Black Widow's portrayal. And I don't get the racists comments either. And if it's because of War Machine and Falcon.......then these idiots have no clue what racism even is.

I think the cuts and editing might have played a part in some peoples dislike of the movie. I didnt like Black Widows somewhat forced romance with Banner, but I would jump on Twitter and attack someone for it
