Pretty much, and before every single panel, the Comic Con Bossman comes out to introduce the moderator, and reminds everyone that the studios are kind enough to share this stuff with us so help us keep their trust and don't record anything.

Amazingly, in this day and age, you almost never find video of these panels on Youtube. I'm sure the SDCC people watch Youtube like a hawk and report anything inappropriate.

Is it heavily re-envisioned or would you recognize it as Ultron just from seeing it and not knowing it was supposed to be him.?

I admit it. I have a man crush on Idris Elba.

I just want to be the guy in the Godzilla suit. I'd be a good choice for reboot Wolverine too. I'm short and hairy.

Short, hairy Godzilla. Let it be so.

That's pretty crazy. It's like having a bunch of Solid Snakes and Sam Fishers creeping on you while you're trying to watch a presentation.

Since they're already at comic con, they should disguise those security guys as Sam and Snake. No one would suspect a thing until it's too late.

I think it's pretty obvious who becomes Ultron...

The thing is he is right. They've taken liberties since the beginning and it's worked. I don't see why they'd hold to comic canon now.

Damn, pretty sure now that ultron will be a creation of Stark now.

They gotta make their money worth it. No Iron Man 4 coming means that he'll take a bigger focus within the next 2 Avengers films most likely.

So, is Renner coming back? Sounds like Whedon is addressing the actor's complaints:

Whedon also suggests that Hawkeye will have a much bigger role this time out, explaining ” Part of the fun for me, definitely this time around, is writing Hawkeye. He did get possessed pretty early by a bad guy and had to walk around all scowly for most of the movie so now it’s nice to actually have the character there and see him interact with the other guys.”

Yeah, I'm glad that Hawkeye will be getting some attention and, hopefully, personality. So generic and lame in Avengers 1.

As for no Pym, that is weird to me, but I can get that they want to do their own thing. Something that initially bugs me more is that Ultron will apparently be a Stark creation of some kind. Stark is just so ****ing important to everything in this universe. I get it, because he's so damn popular, but in Avengers he overshadowed everything else. I guess we'll see more of the same in Avengers 2, and 3, and whatever else he's in from here on out. The stories are good, so that's great, but damn.

I guess WB will do the same sort of thing with Batman. He'll be the real leader of the Justice League, he'll save the day there, he'll be responsible for all the major conflicts and resolutions, he'll understandably be smarter, but also funnier and more clever than everyone else all the time, etc.

I don't really give a **** about him either way, I rather have more of Quicksilver and Wanda

I hope Hawkeye gets to have some of the smart *** lines this time around.
In the comics, he really had more of the film Tony Stark personality than Stark did. Considering RDJ/Stark is the golden boy and folks can't be stepping on his toes, I'm sure he won't go too far in that direction. But maybe they can at least bring in his discontent/competition with Cap. Maybe even set up his leadership of the West Coast Avengers or Thunderbolts later on. Would like to see a more traditional comic-style costume on him, and Mockingbird!

If all I knew of Hawkeye was the Avengers, I would feel the same way. Completely generic "special ops" military-type character there. Nothing particularly distinctive about him apart from, I guess, his ability with the bow and arrow. He was also the most boring looking Avenger.

The Ultron head materializing at the end of the video to me was just like Thanos turning around at the end of the post-credit scene in The Avengers.

Anyone who knows who he is was like F############K YEAH!!!!!!! And people who didn't know turned to their friends and was like "who is that"?

Like I said it wasn't terribly detailed, but very clearly him when it finally materialized. I really, really wish Marvel would release that video. It was incredible. But I suppose seeing it now after the announcement wouldn't have the same effect anyway.

This might be a great opportunity to let Pym take the super inventor reigns from Tony while Marvel saves their pennies for Avengers 3. Let the new heads take center stage so that by the third film everyone can join in evenly in whoopin Thanos' butt. Tony could use a break to reclaim his manhood from Pepper.

I still want Coulson as Vision, that is just so perfect and meant to be.

'Nuff said.:clap

I know at the Riddick panel someone asked Vin Diesel about his "vision" for being in an upcoming Marvel movie. Diesel got a big smile, shook his head and said something about an announcement at the end of the month.

I know that's not popular with some people, but that's what he said anyway.

From what I know, Pym creates Ultron, right? And Pym is Ant Man? When does the Ant Man movie come out? Is it before A2?

Here I thought it was more definite than it was for Phase 3. I'm guessing they want to hold off until they see how well AOU does, but I'm sure it'll rock the socks for the most part. Simon Pegg has plenty of charisma and acting chops to pull off his own CB movie!

Man, that does sound awesome. I can wait though.. lots of movie goodness coming down the pike already.

Are they still going with Simon Pegg for Scott Lang? I thought that was always more of a rumor or assumption.

Dah, hadn't looked it up in awhile. I guess it is more of a rumor. Hope they find a way for a Pegg-Pym.

Agreed, and the hypnotism didn't help either.

Yep, and I know that's why they toned him down. They could play him up a little while still not taking away from RDJ. Heck they can have a quip contest :lol

Cap's new found relationship with Black Widow would be a great way to play up a little animosity from Clint.
