Namor is in a grey area, I believe universal and Marvel have the rights to him.

I don't see how Hulk being in Atlantis makes much sense, if any at all. Can he even breathe underwater? What kind of conversation can an angry, arrogant, irrational Namor make with an angry irrational Hulk that can barely articulate any words on the surface let alone in water have?

I'd love to see Namor show up though, if they can find a decent way of explaining Namor showing up in the MCU I'll be happy.

My guess is that Banner is floating at sea after the crash. Gets abducted by Namor, and while imprisoned; he turns into the Hulk. Namor is intrigued by this, and Banner of any tech from Atlantis; becomes a mutual thing. Banner can be off the radar, and I'm certain Namor would get some form of benefit.

It is quite possible, just don't know if Marvel would go that route.

Do we know why Rhodes went back to the WM armor after IM3? Are we supposed to believe that the IP color scheme is "tainted" on account of the Presidential kidnapping?

Oh that sounds better, yea, I'd definitely be in for this.

Fury said Banner probably swam to Fiji. Maybe he really ends up on the LOST island and becomes the "green monster" instead of the smoke one.

Talking to my friend who just saw this today.

We're convinced Hulk is in Atlantis. They allude to Namor in Iron Man 2 but never anything else and there is no where he's likely to fit in a movie on the current schedule. Imagine Thanos is about to defeat the Avengers when Hulk shows back up with Namor and entire army of Atlanteans. Could be amazing and a pretty good alternative to Planet Hulk(still leaving that story to tell post Infinity Wars).

Does Disney have the rights to Namor? :lol

I've had IM3 on in the background while I work and I had to pause to watch the full finale. Man, that movie could have been one of the GREATS with just a couple small tweaks at the end I think. Even knowing how it all played out I still got a pang of emotion as Tony watched Pepper fall into the fire. Then the whole wrapping Killian in the 42, sweet, sweet twist and ultimate payoff of the "remotely attaching" gag that would have been an epic finishing move on the seemingly unkillable bad guy.

Geez, all they had to do was leave it at that. I think if Pepper died there would have been a real emotional resonance with that film and people would be even more endeared to Tony. And at the same time letting him get revenge and actually finish off the bad guy himself in such spectacular fashion would have been a real crowd pleaser. And then the very end could still have been him standing at the Malibu cliff, no house, no armors, no Pepper. A total clean slate that would walk into AoU just wanting tie up some loose ends (prevent another Chitauri invasion and his own creation from running amok) and then "tapping out" as he put it.

Why does Pepper even need to still be around? She wasn't in AoU and she sure won't be critical to Civil War or Infinity War. RDJ will probably be done after that anyway. It would have been such an epic send-off. Too bad.

I agree 100x.

If anything since she survived IM3 she should've been in AOU in her armor.

Missed opportunity not killing her then missed opportunity again not having her and WM fighting off the Ultron drones.

Not a fan of fridging Pepper to give Tony extra angst.

IM3 had a lot of problems, not killing Pepper was not one of them. I would have felt no satisfaction if Killian had killed Pepper and Tony got his "glorious" revenge - I would've been disgusted.

Just because she doesn't appear in AOU, doesn't mean she has to be killed. Same for Jane Foster. Their absence was explained nicely in AOU - and it was plenty believable given what we know of both characters.

Yeah especially with such a good finale before the "twist" of bringing Killian AND her back for one more showdown. It'd be like if Luke blew up the Death Star and everyone was all "yeah!" then as the flames from the explosion cleared...it was still there! But then Biggs showed up, somehow alive, and blew it up AGAIN!!!11! It'd be like okay that was one hell of a twist but...why? :lol

Not a Marvel comic reader, I see. They had a classic, early team-up. And were charter members of the Defenders. So, it would be awesome if it happened on-screen.

IM3 is my least favorite MCU movie by far. I haven't been able to get through a single sitting of it since I saw it in the theaters. I skip it on all my MCU marathons. The best film on that blu-ray is the Agent Carter one shot.

I'm actually a huge Namor fan and read a majority of his early comics. I was speaking primarily on the films, Hulk hasn't shown that he has the ability to hold a conversation, and certainly can't talk in the water, can he even breathe under there? I guess a fight starting in the water and ending up on the surface could work, then eventually Hulk turns back into Banner and they have a conversation. That's really the only way I can see it working in the movie universe.

I'm fascinated about the discarded notion about having Hulk be grey during his "rampage." Even the new little HT figure was obviously produced with that in mind. I wonder how Joss was thinking of originally explaining that.

Need Silver Surfer and Dr. Strange
Unfortunately, the Marvel Studios Defenders are the TV guys anyway, and Surfer's off the table, but yeah, Hulk, Strange, Namor, and maybe Nighthawk and Valkyrie would be awesome to see together somehow.

Nighthawk really would give Marvel a chance to outshine the WB/DC folks by doing a better Batman than Snyder could dream of coming up with. Would love to see them attempt it.
