In that case, i'm glad I read it wrong... I'm still hoping Pym had something to do with the creation of ultron. I read somewhere that Pym took part in the creation of the old defense system in the 60's, but i'm not sure if it was speculation or not.

Pretty much everything is speculation until the movie comes out. Even if you are on set you don't get all the details. Plus there are reshoots and then edits. A scene can be cut so the dialogue is completly different in meaning then when actually shot.

As for pym....I don't know. I doubt that's the case, given I don't think he is in the movie. Even if he wrote the old program, stark and/or banner change it enough that ultimately he is their creation.

Ok, what or who is Pym? Not something that's coming to me. lol ;)

EDIT: ok I've had a read, Ant Man. lol He's not in Ultron so hence why I was confused as to who you were talking about, always just think of him as Ant Man. lol

In the comics, Henry Pym is Ant-Man/Giant-Man and a founding member of the Avengers... He created Ultron by using his brain patterns to design his A.I.

So really he should be in AoU then?!? Bazaar, glad I don't read the comics..., things like that would bug me.

I would have loved him to be an Avenger already honestly, but in the MCU he's played by Michael Douglas and is pretty old and is not Ant-Man (though he might have been in the past) Not much has been revealed about the Ant-Man movie yet, but Pym will be quite different than he was in the comics.

The comics and movie have a lot of differences. But I don't see that as always bad. If they where exactly the same, there would be no original ideas and the story would be known.

And given the thirty different variations of everything in comics not even the comics follow the other comics at times.

Oh god, **** like that bugs me when it doesn't work. XD But when it does work, ala Star-Lord and Hulk's origin, etc then you have my interest. Though I really still would have loved to see the Gamma bomb for Hulk. Well, from the official synopsis, it was said that Ultron was a dormant peace keeping program. I do think people are reading a little too much into it and saying it's Chitauri tech. I think Hank worked on it and just had to put it away and got uncovered during The Avengers.

I do think however if that it does become Chitauri tech, i'll be a little disappointed. And would think that Marvel would actually be trying a little too hard to have EVERYTHING connect to each other. I don't need Thanos or the Chitauri involved in all the big Avengers events. Along with Vision. I'm sure Joss said that Vision was created by Ultron to show that he can create life and also, his vision of the future.

I agree, i've seen people b1tch up a storm about how different the movies are from the comics. I like it because I think it would be boring otherwise. Of course when it comes to movies like X-Men Origins: Wolverine... the bitching is well warranted.

I find I'm happy for stories to change or be different, as long as they don't change the core nature of the character(s), I have onlt really ever been into one comic character throughout my life & that's 2000ADs Jadge Dredd, when Stallone did the movie I honestly lost all interest in the comics after that, he made Dredd into something I didn't recognise..., as a film it was ok at best but it wasn'r Dredd. The second attempt I loved & it's got me back into the comics again, so as long as the characters are who they are meant to be, story wise I can live with changes (if that makes sense).

Never read any of the comics so he'll be totally new to me anyway..., I looked him up years back & the character just didn't appeal to me at all, sure shrinking is cool but communicating with ants??? It just wasn't for me I guess..., I'll give the movie a watch though. :)

I wonder how much Ultron will be......wow this movie is going to be painfully expensive

I think just based on the current up-tick of pricing lately with their figures, my guess is that Ultron will be $299 or higher. Personally I am hoping they release the version of Ultron that was on the EW cover, as I much prefer that look to this one. If they don't, then I might just be saving a good chunk of money here.

if plastic, that would be my guess too

probably the high 300's if he's diecast. I think he's about 8 or 9 foot tall in the movie

That's true. I think they could go either with this in terms of die-cast or not. My guess is that he will be plastic, as they have so many figures coming out for this one movie, they want the price points to not be too crazy the first go around. Then release a 2.0 version with accessories and die-cast. Plus there's also the possibility of them making drones as well, so it's a lot of figures to consider for just one movie.

Oh yeah, I could see Ultron, depending on the form, hitting $400 if not HIGHER, especially if it's diecast. :slap It will likely be a memorable baddie, it'll be 16 inches tall and it'll carry the dreaded Avengers Tax™. :lol
